I'm in Indy with Derrick. But talked to my husband at home. He had
a good day at work. He sounds so tired, but happy. That is what I
like. I just am so glad its working out this way. Its taken some time,
but we are seeing some results.

Not sure what is going on, but seems our town is trying to get rid
of its town cops tomorrow. I understand about one of them, but
not sure why the other.

SO it should be interesting meeting.

I haven't heard anything about whether my son Devin will get the job.

He didn't know on Friday, so keep those prayers flooding the gates please.
Its really important. He really needs this job. He has had some temporary
ones, but this would be a full-time, I think permanent. He is ready.

I have Piglett scheduled to have teeth pulled on Thursday, So keep her in your prayers too would you. She has been kind of miserable with a draining
mess. The vet is pretty sure, its caused by the teeth. She has been on
meds since THursday. The only way I've gotten the meds in her, is peanut butter. I have permission not to give for the next two days. I'm so glad.

So keep my other son Danny in your thoughts also, he has to keep his calm.
He is kind of going through the I have to much time on my hands.

In a few weeks, I will have to talk to him about going back on mental health meds I believe. He has needed them but now needs them more.

Bumping to talk about Gabapentin

Hi,

I increased my Gabapentin tonight to 150
plus a little less than half a pill so let's say
tonight I took 200 mgs of Gapapentin.

I am benefiting from anxiety relief.
I might be sleeping a little more on this med than without it.
Perhaps the med could help me more with depression.
I caught myself crying about work losses.

When I see pdoc in about 10 days, it will be the first time seeing him since around May.
(his office cancelled the last appt and I picked a day as late as I could get for the reschedule.)

I want to give pdoc a report about the Gabapentin so that he can write the 'scripts from now on instead of my internist.

Dear Mari

this sounds positive. and i would request 100mg pills from pdoc if you are still at these kinds of dosages.

'here's wishing you continued success with this. :heartthrob:

I am finding this interesting, Wondering if maybe I need to look at
going up, or what I thought was my usual dosage again.

I wonder if that would help with the loss of my cymbalta.

I believe I have a appt. with my pain doctor soon or in a couple of
months. Think I will ask. I had thought of going up one more pill
any way.

I am still having problems taking this 3 times a day. So if I could
get 4 pills, I could take 2 at a time. And this would solve the problem.

talk to your doc about the whole situation not just dose increase. Mention your difficulties with 3 x a day dosing, and wanting to take it only 2ce a day.

For neurological applications (sz, migraine, mood stabilization), it is usually considered better to take the daily amount of gabapentin split evenly over 3 or 4 doses... this is because it doesn't stay in the blood long but is quickly distributed into the tissues.

it might be different for pain mgmt/fibro - isn't that what you take it for? in that case, it may not make much difference at all... but please ask the doc. i know it is a PITA to take stuff 3 x a day... sigh. when i took it for migraines, i took it 4 x a day... arghhhhhh. :(

I plan to do that again Waves. The problem is I just can't seem to remmeber
the other dose. So lots of times I don't take the third dosage.

too much klonopin in the daytime

Hi,

Ugh. I overshot my dose of Klonopin.
I took .75 mgs a little more than ninety minutes before a meeting, hoping that it would help keep the anxiety down and help me not say anything untoward.

I checked with work buddy. He said I was successful in my goal.
Now I have too much Klonopin in my system to get any work done. I'm sleepy.

It's hard to juggle meds with life.

waves 09-20-2011 05:01 PM

yuck. sorry about that Mari. Klonopin is pretty long-acting.... hard to use to medicate a short-lived state of tension (meeting) followed by a more relaxed phase....

have you done this much with Klonopin, or is it a more recent thing?

i know you already got off Xanax and probably don't want another on board, but, on an as-needed basis only, i'd recommend using a shorter acting drug like Xanax or Ativan. And bear in mind, even these can produce longer-than-desired action.

(((hugs)))
