Default meds

Waves,

Sorry for the confusion. I should be more careful when I post.
I was remembering a time when he raised either that Zyprexa or the Depakote and during a short period you missed some doses, got the dosage wrong a few wrong (taking the wrong sized tablets, or something).
I think I was saying in the above post that if he had a recommendation to raise a dose, you should take it and hope to feel more stable before you embark on your trip.

From your post, it sounds like he does not have much to work with in his med tool chest since you are at a top Depakote dose. Would taking Zyprexa (while still home) for three or four days help? -- I don't know the med very well.

I too would be conerned for you about your being out of reach of the help of the pdoc due to political borders.

Stay safe. Come up with plans to keep yourself on an even keel while you are away: sleep, keep stimulation low if possible, get a cheap guitar there or before you leave, . . . and whatever else you have in your tool chest.

i don't have an expensive guitar. it has acquired scuffs but not by travelling. and no cracks. it is a '72 Guild acoustic 3/4 size - bought used. probably not worth much to anyone but me, but it does also have real good sound.

but most of all:

Heart

Hi Everyone

today i was mostly dysphoric all day but tonight i feel a bit better

today was a mess though. pdoc pzzzd me off this morning when i called.

at work i couldn't concentrate worth squat could only scroll up and down in code. accomplished next to nothing.

blew a gasket at lunch at a coworker for something tiny... almost blew one at my boss... managed to manage the tone and at least get message across - it was ok. he got it and at least partly fixed what pzzzd me off yesterday. blew another gasket at my parents when i got home...

sigh, then found an old comedy by accident ... it is making me laugh HARD over and over. my energy is being redirected. thank God. i also feel less tired.

i can never explain to anyone about being too tired and too wired simultaneously. nobody gets it.

Sometimes I've gotten my drugs out of balance &/or drugs with foods that have drug properties. I'm really sensitive to even small amounts. I was eating some food with hi amts of some metal (mag maybe) that altered some drug I was taking. Left me sluggish but wired. Not a good state. Don't know whether it's the same as yours.

And NO, I'd never check my guitar! Know exactly what you mean. & I wasn't thinking about political borders. Please be very careful. Hate to have to come rescue you, crazy old lady that I am. That would be sad.

Waves, Yeah, I prolly said that wrong. I wanted to say, buy a cheap guitar just for traveling. But even then, if it went into the hold it'd prolly be smashed before it got there. So, like you said, buy one when ya get there

Thanks Everyone....

(((Mari))) i am watching a thriller now... but getting more tired and less wired. i took my meds.

Jude - you crack me up as always... but hey... you'd like where i'm going... and no i'm not going to disclose... but i bet you would. then again to US folks European destinations are often attractive and viceversa. Here heads turn when i tell ppl my home base was/is Florida. Then when i tell them where i was born and that i also spent 3 years in California they go gaga and require a drool-bucket. hee hee.

CurlyDawg - i get you now... and LOLOL - "Friends don't let friends ride in the hold" I'll remember that one!!!!

today was tough for me. i expected to be euphoric with it being last day of work for 2 weeks instead every little thing had me blowing gaskets. one of my coworkers even observed, "she's nervous today." (and if he only knew how narrowly i was hanging on right then... had just let into our colleague and had psychomotor agitation i could not fully control.

but i think something is helping. it might be hormones. there is a certain time (monthly) when i get real tired and depressed and get migraines. this is it. when i am hypo sometimes i don't get any depression but it nips the high. if i am in a higher energy state i can get dysphoric. so i actually think this is temporary and not related to the depakote increase.

but i do feel clearer tonight - ya figure it was the beers???

Blank So I'll just be thinking of Europe...

Yeah, if you're gonna be in Europe I'd most likely like it. East, Central, West, can't think of any I've not enjoyed for 1 reason or another. Prague at sundown, guitars on the river, ahhhh....
Enjoy. Stay safe. Sing away.
