Good luck Mari
Donna:grouphug: |
Mari,
I don't think your mac issue will be too expensive. It's not an electrical problem or issue with the computer guts. They may even be able to straighten it out at the genius bar. They can diagnose and fix lots of problems there. Unfortunately I've been there myself. I go online to make an appointment beforehand so I don't have to worry about lines. |
Dear Kay,
I'll try to call tomorrow. M |
Dear Mari
are you still using the hated netbook or were you able to get an appointment for a "mac-doctor?" just wondering. i am thinking you might have deferred repairs till after parental visit. but i know you were hating the net book. maybe you have adjusted to it some and are hating it less tho... ~ waves ~ |

By any chance do you have one of the Mac OS's on a disk or a full backup on a flash drive? Or any restore discs? I'm not sure if you were doing a fresh install or an upgrade but here is some info from the Mac forums- http://www.macworld.com/article/1610...ete_guide.html I don't know if there is any key combinations that can return it to the previous OS. might say on the Mac forum/website. maybe something in this link will be helpful - http://www.google.com/search?q=I+ins...ient=firefox-a |
Hi,
Ten days ago, I went to the apple store in mid afternoon on a weekday. The store was crowded and I was overwhelmed. I told a store person about the Snow Leopard upgrade and the mouse problem. The first apple genius told me that the upgrade could in no way cause the mouse problem. Then he asked me where my mouse was. I said I specifically asked over the phone about having to bring it with me and the phone person said not to bring my mouse -- the store only need to see my computer. . . . . My computer worked fine with their mouse and key board. The genuis told me I could try this or that to figure it out on my own. . . . . I asked for a different genius. I spent 60 seconds with genius #2 and bought a brand new mouse and a brand new keyboard that worked perfectly for about six days. When the mouse stops working, I cannot shut down. I unplug, wait 20 seconds, and then plug in again. I asked hubby if he would come with me the next time I have to talk to any of them. He said yes. M |
Hi, Jomar,
I have the disks from an old operating system. I am concerned about my documents. I saved them once with Time Machine and can do another save. Probably the documents are readable in any of the last three or four upgrades. M. |
I bossed everyone. The night went well.
Hi,
The night with hubby and parents went well. I was fine. I told everyone what to do. I drove. I reminded the back seat drivers (hubby and Dad) that I had been driving these same roads for exactly 30 years. http://bestsmileys.com/cars/6.gif When Dad said he wanted such and such, I said fine. That is how it would be. No discussion. Settled. We had a nice visit. :p  ;) :winky: We meet them again in the am. Hubby and mom play tennis. Dad and I hangout and perhaps work on his manuscript. If hubby drives tomorrow night I will take enough Klonopin not to be concerned about much. M. |
