Nite nite Mari

i hope you have gone to bed... just took my meds too.

i am struggling with sleeping too between not sleeping, and sleeping with nightmares, or half-sleeping with parents shouting in surround-sound.

but at night when it's quiet enough to rest better, i just want to stay awake and soak up the peace. i soooooooooo need the peace and i can't find it during the day. catch-22. i'd like for it to be night 24/7 with the rest of the world asleep - at least in my immediate surroundings.

well, i hope you do get some zzzz's and that the drive to the airport tomorrow is ehhh... productive, as in you get to return minus parents.

Default I am so freaked out!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

I'm late getting to bed, have nothing prepared for tomorrow, have a huge list of things to take care of tonight and then more to remember to do at work. . . also tired even though I have been in bed a lot since dropping off parents at the airport Monday at 9:00 am. My mind is in the wrong place

That visit by the folks is going to take me two weeks to get back on track and I WAS BARELY ON TRACK!!!!! I'm sooooooo angry. I don't know why I'm angry. I need to get a grip, get off the computer, and find a way to relax so I can go to bed. I really need more drugs for this. All I have is Klonopin and I am worried about the hangover effects if I take more now.

Hubby was helpful for a change. He suggested an assignment for tomorrow for my class that will be fine for the students.

Maybe these should be my three goals:
1. go to bed soon. --- this requires that I disengage, find a snack, watch mindless tv maybe
2. get to work on time.
3. stay ok.

PS.

Maybe ask hubby to make me some tea. He has peppermint. I usually like peppermint to help me be alert but it has calming qualities.

i think the parents can have to do with it, even if nothing "overt" happened. just their presence, the vibe, you know. i think it put you in a different place emotionally. maybe a childhood place when your emotions were repressed. maybe now they are coming out.

i hope your pdoc can make a reassessment and find something to help you calm if you feel a med would help.

indeed peppermint helps the mind to be alert... supposedly, but i personally find it has soothing quality also. what i sometimes do at night is have chamomile + peppermint (1 bag of each... the peppermint flavor just about smothers the chamomile anyway).
