I just got back from the dermatologist office.
he wanted to biopsy my face and I told him no. that I wanted my face to heal. they injected steroids again because it did help...continue on path see them in two weeks. ouch that hurt again....less tears today.
am going to go lay down. that is what I do it seems if I can get away with it, I sleep escape....tired.

My question would be why, would he want to biopsy your face again?
Is he thinking there is something there now?

I would be getting a second opinion I think.

I asked him if he thought it was fungal he said no.....I told him I wanted my face to heal it has already been thru enough. If it doesn't improve in 2 weeks then maybe consider a biopsy....but lets give my face a chance to heal, I imagined him taking chunks out of my face...I am sure that was not the case but just felt they were grasping.... I like him but am not just going to do everything that he says.
He did not seem to think the topical steroid would be absorbed to cause my not sleeping when I am pretty certain that it did.I see them again in 2 weeks. After I laid down today I got a stomach ache...for got to sit up for 30 minutes after dosing...I think that is what caused my now stomach ache cramping etc. This anti biotic has this listed as possible side effects. Still having diarrhea so the probiotic is not enough. going to pass on dinner and just have yogurt and toast. Thanks for your support and kind words...I think he is a good dermatologist and between his assistant, I told him that I started using the benzol peroxide and he thought that was ok, wondered if it was too strong...it is pretty strong but I can handle it...he asked me if I had put any on the rosacea areas , I said no...that I was afraid to the skin was so thin there...he understood.

Good, Questions and he had good answers. It sounds like it just hadn't
progressed as well as he had thought it should. Which I think you had
already pretty much told us. So I can totally understand that.

I wasn't really questioning whether he was good or not. Just whether
you might need a second thought, or opinion. Even from someone, like
you were thinking about the hormones with the rosecea.

I personally am glad your getting through this. I admire you a lot.

thank you donna, I appreciate your input, I really do.
I forgot to tell you that I did place a call to my pdoc asking her about hormone testing, she had mentioned this before, asked her if I should call a GYN or endocrinologist or if she could write the orders. That was late in the day so I expect to hear from them tomorrow sometime.

I wouldn't usually ask for the testing. Not that you wouldn't.

But I knew you were still considering last I knew. So I thought I'd put

I did ask the assistant if I had rosacea fulminans and he said yes.
That is a very serious condition with scarring...sigh

when do you talk to your pdoc next?

i'd really like you to talk to her about the topical steroid, the sleeplessness, and your state of agitation in general, and then if she gives her blessing try it again. i don't think the increased agitation had anything to do with the steroid, and i think she will give her blessing - which hopefully would reassure you more than my say so or even the derm's. i think the agitation has directly to do with fear and discomfort from this condition. (my 2c)

aside from the discomfort you are going through, it sounds like the sooner this heals, the less scarring there is likely to be.
