Bizi,
You had a great day yesterday with the in-service. That's a big accomplishment. Maybe you can see the derm more often -- even when you are doing fine --- kind of like when we check in with the pdoc. M |

WEll it is official I have an infection on my face I have a swollen lymph node under my left jaw. He did a culture and sensitivity test that will take 4-6 days to grow but in the mean time he ordered clyndimycin antibiotic 4 times a day and a bactroban cream twice a day. I am going to take a probiotic once a day for my gut because the antibiotics are so strong.
~sigh great...just what I need.... bizi

Ouch ! Silly bacteria and all the microorganims !!!!
 Can you take something for the pain ? My father suffer of recurrent teeth infections and he takes something for the pain while the antibiotics work... Do you want me to find out what is it ?

Hoping it is feeling better tomorrow. I think I would give his office a call tomorrow if its not. See if they have any ideas about the pain. And anything else you might try for things. Donna

i hope you are feeling better today. how much advil? a pharmacist told me it doesn't have very good antiinflammatory effects below 400mg doses. i hope the doctor can suggest something useful. maybe even something topical that will not make things worse while you wait for the abx to kick in or the culture. thank fully I slept fine until 6am when I got up, very unusual for me I wanted to get another dose of antibiotic in me and eat a yogurt because I am supposed to take it with food, so have been alternating it with cheese and now yogurt. The probiotic I take once a day 2 hours after the antibiotics, wonder how many yogurts I should eat a day.
 This is a strong antibiotic. I should sit up for a while after taking it.The probiotic is align (bifidobacterium infantis 4mg). So far no GI symptoms with the anti-bx except a little burning sensation. I have a tolerable gut. thank goodness. I think I am less swollen today which is good. thanks for putting up with me....  bizi think that I will go back to bed....
