I slept off and on but definitely got my sleep so yea!
By tomorrow I will be done with the 4x a day antibiotics which will make my life much easier.
still unsure of the continued use of the steroid cream just once a day maybe.
but not twice like directed. I see the derm on monday for a followup.I want to switch over to the 40mg of doxycyclin the oracea medicine and get off the higher dose doxy (they wanted me to take that for 30 days) Since I already have taken the 2 months of 150mg of tetracyclin, I wonder if that is long enough to set up drug resistance in that family. doxy is in that family too....
I don't know how to research that.

I don't know about resistance. Do the mdocs know much about that?

My suggestion is to folllow the part of the protocol you feel comfortable about. What is your plan for the day today. . . .. after you wake up?

topical use of steroid cream for such a short period should not have systemic effects. my suggestion would be to continue with the prescribed posology - you said you slept last night - until you see the derm. you seemed worried before because you couldn't sleep, makes sense. while it is theoretically possible to have systemic effects, but itching and worry are more likely to cause sleep loss than 2-3 days of steroid cream applied to a small area such as the break out on your face. if you were applying the cream, say, to your entire torso, then, i might be singing a different song.

i can't say re: the abx but it seems plausible that drug resistance to one of the tetracycline group it will affect other abx in that group, certainly worth asking about.

just tonight and tomorrow then you see the derm again. not long. hang in there. have some extra Klonopin or a Blueberry beer. i stopped at a store on the way home yesterday. it was on special. now having myself some weissbier.

ahhh, i did wonder about that. 2 variables... i understand wanting to err on the side of caution regarding anything possibly contributing to sleep loss.

I have 2 areas of concern a large area on my nose and left cheek that is much better far less swollen and less bumps less sores, the other area is on my far left cheek and it is worse. very red and and swollen, pustules...sigh
jeff is on his way home, I just picked up his gift card to texas road house, for his birthday on tuesday. I had already ordered the ken burns "The war" series...he asked for that so his birthday was simple. I picked up some toys for my girl friends little girl turns five next weekend also a gift card because I am not good at getting gifts. Saw a couple of clients so it was a good day.
need to gift wrap his gift and gillians as well.
I think the antibiotics are upseting my stomach...cramping noted but not that time of the month.

p.s. when i have tummy upset - i eat baked potato. if its the abx though it may not be that simple. could it be you just aren't eating enough with it? maybe call a pharmacy and see what they can advise that you can take to buffer it but that won't interfere with its action or absorption.

gi up set is a common side effect of doxycyclin I ate a big sandwich with it today...have not noticed the stomach ache before so may something else is going on...I have not had any diarrhea today which is good, I think....
still taking the probiotic.
