Default Thanks waves

I appreciate the response. I think maybe the health care is in serious trouble all across our planet. Personally I would not submit to either of those test without sedation. I am not a cow, as you mentioned. You are SO right about them treating you as such. I refused an EMG for the same reason. I am not a cow and have no need of a cattle prod to tell me it hurts. I am a most stubborn patient. My current doc. wants to do joint replacement while I am awake, NOPE it won't happen, Is he nuts? I'm not nuts enough to do that to my mental state, or my blood pressure. The last tooth I had out I was put under. So we fight on Waves, to get the best care possible. Fight for good treatment too. I have had better bed side mannor from a jack *** than one of the neruologists I had. I dismissed him to his face. I am getting to old, to be treated badly, so I am very fiesty. take care dear waves, I do care about you and these people we talk to. ginnie

sorry i didn't respond earlier but i got overwhelmed and more anxious by some of the responses. I didn't think of other things that could happen.
I trust doctors to ask what drugs i am taking and i assume that i will have to stop them before i am given the sedative. i don't want the procedure without sedation. I had been sedated once before. when i have my dentures and all my teeth pulled, i will ask for sedation too. I am not looking forward to it.

Default Hi Bobby

I am glad you are asking for sedation. At first I did have a tube put in my nose and down to take a peek, I didn't care for that much, so I was not about to submit to endoscopy without sedation. I am just a stubborn person Bobby, that wants to be treated nice, and be as comfortable as I can while going through any proceedure. I hope your doctor grants you this comfort. The stress hurts us. take care bobby, ginnie

In this area, everybody i talked to gets sedation without asking for it. i think the stress of the whole thing is one of the worse parts. finding out possible bad results is the worse and worrying about that.

Thats exactly what I think too. the worry from that proceedure would get to anyone...I vote for sedation, I get overly anxious with these proceedures, and just couldn't do it without being out. ginnie

Heart uh-oh

Dear Bobby

i am very sorry if some of what i posted augmented your anxiety about this. i know you know i am in a totally different system, so i figured you would just take it as a generally speaking ... i do apologize if that was a bad call on my part. if you would like all or part of any of my posts removed, pm me and i'll request the edits, or if you prefer, report the posts for immediate attention from the mod team.

i am really glad sedation is the "normal" process in your area. that just seems to make sense to me. the fact you have been under before for dental work is a good indicator that they shouldn't have issues with your meds. i hope you are able to find an appt soon so you don't have too much more time to worry. and then get an "all clear" in the results so you can finally relax.

love

I was just posting what they told me was a simple situation in my case.

I personally still don't know why. I honestly thought it was normal.

Everyone I know that has had one was the same way. Sorry.
