A little late here w/ the check in , as it's already Sunday....It's POURING here today, just as they predicted, but I guess it's better than snow (sorry, Di - did you actually get snow?)

Anyhow, we are getting together w/ my son's family today, we're all going to Charlie Brown's for dinner to celebrate several of our birthdays (mine was last week-end, and now I'm the big 55) . That's a big deal around my SSA office, because, according to our grids that we use as part of the disability determination process, 55 and up is considered ADVANCED AGE, thus making it easier to obtain an allowance for disability! Geez, that really makes me feel more secure ....

Hi Jacqui, I never thought I'd ever look forward to 50 but now that I am there's some awesome benefits. Senior games and trip and classes The SSA grid for a 55 year old helps me feel better somehow also. More security.

Hi Mrs. Bear, I am enjoying my weekend. Today it's heavy rains but not as bad as most. I took some macaroni salad to my neighbor who I have a crush on and his roommate answered the door as usual. His roommate looked real surprised and kind of shocked I suppose. His roommate is in a wheelchair and my friend with the cancer does the cooking so since he's been under the weather the other guy may just have been happy to get cooked food. I feel great for doing something nice. The Get Well card I put in the bag for my friend with cancer had a picture of a sheepish looking dog holding a single flower. It kind of looks like I'm flirting but who cares.

I have spent the entire day preparing for a dinner event tonight.
The whole day.
Hubby forgot about the event until we ran into some friends at an art walk last night. needless to say I started worring about it...my hair is now red for one week and I needed to get a curling brush hair dryer...been meaning to get it so of course have to try it out for tonight...
I was shopping trying on clothes shoes etc....hubby even has a tie and suit coat on and me My dress almost goes to the floor.
It is of asian theme so that had to be taken into consideration and it will be chilly outside so some sort of warmer garmet to match this dress....sigh at least this is an outfit that I can bring on my trip up north in a couple weeks...

Off we go...and I am flowing heavy...~sigh
after all of this effort I am going to eat and drink and be merrry if it kills me...

Hi There,
'Made it to the gym this afternoon -- that's exercise two days in a row.


The weather was not a big deal -- nothing like it was supposed to be. But it will be cool(ish) tomoorow.

Now I have to do laundry and some (lots) of paperwork for work tomorrow.

Hubby figured out how to get his computer to go audible and call my name. Just freaked me out. Maybe I need to go see him in the other room and pretend to be impressed.
