Smile Monument Valley

I would love to see a starry night over Monument Valley. I've never been there, but I'd love to see this.

The more I see of outer space, the bigger it seems to be. The stars that are so far away in Space, are not as far away as what's beyond them. A far point in space spreads out into more space from that point. That point in space spreads out like a piece of pie,or a V over a long distance from that point, and there is even more space beyond there that we cannot imagine. BF

It's beyond our comprehension, but fascinating. We think that the Earth is tremendous, but what's out there is beyond human comprehension.

I like to think about the vastness of outer space now,and then to be able to put things into prospective.

It's so sad that humans on this tiny Earth are fighting. Earth is small but filled to the brim with complex life in the oceans, land, air, soil, ponds in all kinds of shapes, sizes, and forms. It's amazing to think of all of the different life forms on the planet Earth that are Large, small, and/or microscopic.

It's so fascinating to be able to see what man could not see in outer space up until now. We keep learning what's out there, and I like it. Looking at galaxies that's light is now coming into view from millions of years ago is also mind blowing. BF

Explanation:
Welcome to The World At Night. Sharing the night sky seen around the world, this view from Monument Valley, USA includes a picturesque foreground of famous buttes.

Buttes are composed of hard rock left behind after water eroded away the surrounding soft rock.

The two buttes on the image left are known as the Mittens, while Merrick Butte is on the right.

Recorded in 2007 December, planet Mars is at the left of the skyscape, a glowing beacon of orange that is the brightest object in the frame. To the right of Mars lies the constellation of Orion.
My mom used to explain the stars to us when we were very little. I can usually find Orion and sometimes Taurus. I used to be able to see his two hunting dogs -- Canis Minor and Sirius. Maybe I need a darker sky and more patience.

I know, right.

We have a full moon coming up -- so a beautiful moon but not a good night for stars.

Default full moon

We have a full moon late this afternoon early evening (not sure if it will be dark enough to see it at exactly it;s fullest.)
I got to see it with clear skies last night. It was gorgeous.

This picture isn't very interesting, but it shows a pulsar.

Scientists recently discovered a pulsar in space that is spinning 716 times per second. It's identification number is PSRJ1748-2446ad.

How can anything spin that fast?

2014 February 21: The Long Jet of the Lighthouse Nebula

This is incredible. How can anything do that? Space is full of surprises.
