Yes we are @ hospital....they asked me to leave room so she could get behavior assesment by herself...I was getting worried padt days with her talking about death and today found out when we got to hospital that she cut herself today I need strength to help her and myself.

She could use a talk therapist too. The therapist can encourage her to try new things beyond the computer.
Also, at the hospital she might get hooked up with a social worker. Maybe you can ask to talk to her social worker. The social workers are good about information about about services available in the community. They might even help with school too.

Unhappy

She needs a good therapist to help her thru this. There will be no quick fixes here sorry to say. just love her and let her know that you are there for her.
I am sorry that you are going thru this. hoping that she will get some therapy while she is there.

Even if they don't feel she isn't a threat to herself right now or others.

She can get help whether in the hospital, or out patient.

Hopefully they can work with her.

Hi, MiaVita2012,

You are a great mother and your daughter can get better with the right professional care and attention. Tonight was probably a tough night for both of you but trust me when I tell you that things will get better.
Keep your appointments for yourself. Your daughter needs you to be well more than anything now.

Let the social workers and the school figure out how the scheduleing is going to work. At school, ask lots of questions about what the school is going to do for your daughter. Also, ask about how soon they can do it.

(Your daughter probably qualifies for a teacher to come to the house once a week. That is different from homeschooling. Homeschooling is when you the parent are the teacher.)

Hi,

Do not the let the cutting itself freak you out. It is part of the whole picture and the very good news is that she is getting professional care.

Thank you very much for the responses I greatly appreciate them. my daughters update:She is doing better after Monday morning my parents, daughter, and I had went to meet with the principle and counselor, while waiting in office my daughter said "It is about to be 3rd Hour!I want to go to class"I said go and she ran out of there to class....so that was a good beginning!

We all agreed to no homeschooling that she needs to be in social environment. We are starting counseling and she has appointment still with psychiatrist in Feb....I know that she is depressed because life has not been a walk in the park but me and her are going to get better together and no matter what we will never lose our bond as mother and daughter....if anything this will make it stronger then ever.

My medication update:Without the Pristiq 50mg on that day I do not know where I would be today...I really like this medication so far and I am on day 5.I also feel that it has helped me with my PCS in a big way.The other hand the Valium 10mg 2times a night has good and bad It has helped my muscle aches through the day but at night when I take it I get restlessness and kind of angry so then I take a 300mg of melantonin and pass out.

Has anyone changed from xanax to valium before? If so how did you feel and what side effects did you have?
