Hi, Becky,

Go to the little picture of the lock at the top right hand of the screen in facebook to see your Privacy Shortcuts.
-- Who can see my stuff?
-- Who can contact me?
-- How do I stop someone from bothering me?
-- Who can look me up?

For who can look me up, I have it set to only "Friends" -- not friends of friends.
The first day I got on my work facebook I blocked everyone at work who is an administrator. I do not want any of them ever seeing what I post.

For who can see my stuff, I set it to custom. When I send a status update, it only goes to two or three people that I have been talking to lately.

Play around with the privacy settings or ask someone to show you.

Also you can limit what shows up in your news feed.
Go to someone's page and let your mouse hover over the Friend box that has a check mark right now. You can change it so that you do not get notifications from them.

You can hide any pictures and status pictures.
Someone would have to look for them.
You can even sort of delete old things that you have sent out in the past.
This takes me longer to explain than the privacy settings with the lock.

It is o.k. to experiment.
