WEll it has been 8 days alcohol free this time. Since march 19th I drank four days, they were heavy drinking days but not so bad in the big picture.
Jeff is going out of town tomorrow night big trigger for me to drink. Home alone....I have plenty of things that I could do to keep me occupied, books, charting billing, computer, dowton abbey....
wish me luck.
yesterday was a weird day.
I went to rite aid to pick up some facial cleanser and then remembered that we needed a few other things like dark chocolate kisses, an ear plunger and a couple other items.
When I walked into the store they had a display right up front of abitas new lemon wheat beer. Which sounded so good. I just stared at it. ANd thought how simple it would be to just buy some. The lady behind the counter asked if I needed some help and I said no, was I waiting for someone...I said no. Then I impulsively told her my story about not drinking and staring at the beer. She just said had I been to AA before. I told her that I was not an alcoholic that i had developed too high of a tolerance. She just smiled and I went to find my items. Then I came back she told me that she had been sober since 1978 when she was "saved". I just smiled back.
This rite aid is just minutes from my house. so when I got home I showed jeff the syringe and it was not the right kind, so I went back to return the item and get what I thought was the right one to run home and no it was too big so I went back there a 3rd time to finally get the right one!.....all this time I have forgotten my facial cleansing bar which I still need!

They put tempting things in the front in those stores.
That is quite a strange night.

There are not as many tempting alcohol products in this part of the Mid- Atlantic Seaboard. Bizi. I'm so sorry that these products are tempting you.

Now,and then I'll sea a beer commercial that I find tempting. When I was drinking,I could easily drink 3 six packs of Budweiser beer a night for awhile. I use to drink 151 rum when I wanted to get high quickly.

I have to turn my head away from alcohol products now. When they are in front of my eyes, I turn my head. They are still tempting. Sometimes they are more tempting then other times. Good luck. BF

I am home alone, thank goodness there is not anything in the house that I like to drink, there are 2 bottles of really bad sweet wine. Yuck! Jeff is gone for the weekend and usually this is prime time to drink. I was going to go to the local pub and have a few but instead called my hubby and talked to him, told him how I wanted to go and he said go home and watch some downton abbey. I decided to come here instead.
There is still time to run to the grocery store and pick up some blueberry beer but I won't. I turned down free delicious cupcakes tonight after the play that I went to (by myself). I am strong in my resolve there. The play was great! Loved it!
I have a lot of paper work to do tomorrow and the house is a mess so I have plenty to do during the day tomorrow. The night is always the worst.
He gets home monday.

For tonight I am in, Calling it an AF night after much trepidation.

Hi Bizi. I'm hanging in there. I'm going to meet my niece's new husband later today. He's in the Marine Corp,and stationed in Hawaii. My niece met him on the internet. She dated him in Hawaii,and then got married. BF

glad that you are doing ok. happy that you will meet the new husband. That should be nice. hope it goes well.
