Its okay, I'm starting to think about helping Derrick get himself a air conditioner for here. But the fans are working for now.

But there is one section of the house. That he plans to put his bed.
That will need something.

enough to cool us off.

I am not minding this right now. Only because I have no air conditioning
here.

Donna,
Remind the family members about being safe in tornadoes -- men seem to need to be reminded about safety practices.

Keep your hair wet during the day.
The evaporation is cooling.
Also you could wear a wet scarf around your neck.

Or soak your feet in coolish water.

Trig

I'd like to build a fallout shelter for tornados, and anything Bio,Chem,or atomic.

The answer is simple. I don't have money,so I cannot do it.

I have an emergency plan anyway for some of these things. If anything Atomic happens,I'll have at least time to pray.

I have a NOAA radio beeping in the background, saying Flash Flood warning.
I looked at the NOAA Mosaic Loop on the computer, and I don't see any weather threats. The conditions for a Thunderstorm may develop. I don't like that at this time of night. BF

Steve,

If you are still awake... how are things now?

Stay safe and let us know how things are.

Teeth Got soaked in the rain! --- Felt GOOD!

Today it was overcast and I went out to the store (to get milk)
-- without an umbrella
-- without my usual cap
-- without a jacket
-- in flipflops

Get there, it's thundering, but not a drop of rain.

Go in, get my milk, go through the check out ... it's pouring.
I've a few minutes to spare, so I wait just inside the store for it to calm down, which it does, somewhat.
I step outside -- renewed downpour.
Now my bus can show up any minute. So I remove the flip-flops (lightning over, so not worried) and cross the parking lot with thick, fast rain beating on me. I get completely soaked.
Get to the bus stop (sheltered) and start trying to dry my eyes, face, glasses, etc.................. The rain stops. Figures.

Wet bus stop, she's waiting. Yeah. For long enough that I could have waited to cross the parking lot... and stayed dry.

Then, and only then, the stupid bus shows up. Thank you, Murphy.
------------

As the air temp today is quite warm, being wet wasn't uncomfortable: actually, it was kind of invigorating! I looked very silly, but felt great.

------------
Used to be I had umbrellas stashed everywhere (one in office, one at home, one in each vehicle, and a few to spare). I was never unprepared.

But here, most of the rain here is piddly. There's not much heavy rain. As I don't travel in the car and have to carry everything with me everywhere, I feel encumbered by an umbrella, and don't bring one unless I am certain I need it. I routinely get a little bit wet, and I don't mind it... piddly rain makes piddly wetness, it dries, nothing to write home about.

However, about every 3-4 years, hehe... this happens. (There, you could say I wrote home about it.)

Hi Waves, and Mari. I'm OK. It never did rain last night. Tonight there are fire flies blinking. They must be enjoying this weather. BF
