hurricane

The older of my two brothers is a deck hand on a tug boat in North Carolina. The captain is taking the boat to Tunis NC tonight where they expect to be safe.
Then the boat will work cleaning up the storm's mess until my brother gets to go home on Saturday night.

On Facebook he seems o.k. and poetic (or manic?).
Only a crazy person like him gets on his Facebook app to brag about how much fun he is having during a cat 2 hurricane.

I drove to the post office a little while ago to mail a letter. My eye glasses fogged up. It is really humid out there. That Storm is hitting the coast in the State below my state. I hope the storm goes out to sea,and doesn't kill any surfers. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Mari Those Tug Boats are pretty tuff. The old salts that own them, and work them are pretty tuff also. BF:hug::hug::hug:

When it's cyclone/hurricane season where I live, I read on a local weather forum that's filled with people posting in the actual storms. They all seem to have their own weather stations and such as well. Some live in quite isolated areas on little islands. Usually the updates are better than the weather bureau although it can get pretty tense. I find that they're a really funny bunch of people. Funny as in hilarious. As BF said, "old salts". That name suits them well.

Keep safe everyone. Hopefully it doesn't get bigger than a Cat 2 and will bounce out to sea.

Thanks, Lara and Steve.

I will try not to worry and wait for his update when he gets home

That storm affected lots of folks on the East Coast.
My other brother talked on the phone with me about how much rain he got.
