Gosh I remember growing up the day of he solstice spending every hour I could in the sun. The start o my baby oil tan on a sheet that looked like aluminum foil. Now it is bout covering up and SPF.

My maternal great grandmother was Cherokee and by osmosis I tan, lol. Now dd I have to keep covered and plastered with strong sunscreen. The second day at sea it was cool on the deck and dd came out after 2pm to sit with me on the deck. She had a sleeveless dress on. After a half hour I told her to let me rub sun screen on, I had. 50 SPF in my bag, too late. She burnt so bad it blistered up on her right shoulder. Really nasty burn, I know know to cover her even if she is out a short time.

I had a lower SPF on and my shoulders really got red where I lowered my straps and my nose/forehead burnt. I think I over did though, I wanted to get he darkest color I could with the least SPF.
At least I resisted the urge to lay out on he deck all day.

you look great sun burned and all!

I hate to admit I burn whether I put the stuff on or not.

So its very easy to forget. I usually am only in the stuff
during the special Olympics enough to really need it.

But this year thankfully it was not needed. I had the stuff
but forgot to take it.

But I knew were to get it. I am watching right now. Because
of the burning reaction and things going on. I still am having
to be careful.

Weather forecasts have been wrong ((often)) for the last week in a half where I live. (((But))) That is good. We have not had the thunderstorms that have been predicted. We had one big thunderstorm system move through this area this week. BF:hug::hug::hug:

I am glad you didn't get hit by the big storm system, Steve! :) Sometimes it is way cool when forecasts are wrong! :D :hug:

We missed them this week except last Thursday. Heavy 3+in rain with flooding streets. No real thunder boomers. This morning one woke me up, but it wasn't bad. My flowers are flooded, I needed to tip and drain planters.

More rain the next two days. I was going to take dd overnight to Lancaster, but here are much better days to drive down, it's not far.

The heat was not bad last week because I has the new portable air conditioner. Much better! I had to work in Elmira NY the one day, but it was sunny with a breeze.

Happy Fourth of July plans all. Depends on the weather what is planned.

Hi, Di,

I hope your Fourth of July plans work out for you.

It feels like summer here: heat, rain, bugs.
Lows at night are around 78 - 80 degrees.
