Donna, it must be so difficult to get on with regular life when it's that cold.
You keep warm and safe there. I also hope bizi and hubby are ok there driving through all that.

Mari,
It helps to live near water that's for sure and my area is very humid area. It's also summer holidays for schools and universities etc., so many families head to the beach to swim. Lots of swimming pools here too. I don't have a swimming pool where I live now, but most super hot days and evenings when we did have one were spent in the water.

The local beaches are just too busy for me for around 8 weeks of summer plus the sand is far too hot on my feet right now. Best place is under a shady tree next to the sand and close to the ocean or in the ocean itself.

Inland Australia isn't as populated as our coastal regions and they tend to stay indoors with airconditioning when it's that hot. They just need to make sure the aircon keeps working really. I couldn't stand it. They're strong people and usually find some fun way of passing the time... like seeing how fast an egg will fry on a shovel in the sun.

Anyway enough of me... just wish we could do a little weather sharing so that there weren't such extremes.
