That's pretty wild! It sounds llike regular tea doesn't prevent your headache either, no matter how much you drink? Perhaps you drink much milder tea than I do... and much stronger coffee, lol.

Or it could be you are sensitive to other constituents of both the coffee and the different kinds of tea. That almost has to be the case with green tea giving you a headache.

Hmmm. 'Tis a puzzlement.

I only like black tea. I can't seem to make myself drink the others.

Donna,

Have you ever had black tea unsweetened and without milk, or unsweetened iced tea?

If you have it that way, the other teas aren't much of a stretch. But there's no need to make yourself drink them if you don't like them!

Hmmm, I don't like unsweetened with sweet n low at least. I've been
drinking it without milk. My husband can't seem to remember it.

So I've gotten used to it like that.

Sorry, Donna, I don't understand what you are saying. Are you saying you don't like it with sweet and low? Or that you have to have sweet and low in it.

I was asking if you had ever tried it without anything in it. I'm talking flavor, not calories, so........ no sugar, no sweet and low, no nutrasweet, no honey. Nothing at all that adds a sweet taste.

Awe Waves

No I do not like flavoring in any drink. I'm even picky on what I'll take in my
coffee. I will use hazelnut creme. But that is pretty much it.

Some of the flavors upset my stomach, but its more because I like just a bland drink.

I use sweet n low or something like it. That was what I was saying.

Hope this is better.

Red face "side effects" of coffee abstinence

Hello.

Well yesterday I got by with "only" four cups of tea. Drunk in the proper teacups, not guzzled by the pair via mug. Today only three.

I've been a complete zombie. Get moments where my thoughts seem to come to complete halt, or I debate over which cabinet the thing I can't remember is that I need to do something which I forgot, then I remember what I'm doing, and realize I don't actually need anything to do it. Yes, Chrissy Snow sentence-like thoughts, especially just after rising.

But that is not the odd side effect. The odd side effect is that I lost a couple of pounds. Except that's not it either. Yesterday I realized I was phenomenally thirsty, and glugged down two or three of my mugs full of water before feeling halfway ok. Lightbulb: the "lost" weight was water. I was dehydrated.

Yep, drinking 4 or more mugfuls of coffee was all liquid I stopped having. I did normally have water as well, but didn't need much. So today I've started where I just go and chug water from time to time.

Right now I have broken down to a craving, sort of. I am having a cup of decaf. I put honey in it to sort of mask the slightly sharp taste it has, and just to make it a bit more of a treat. I am in need of treats after getting psyched out about those two pounds I didn't lose.

I am glad that you are drinking extra water....
coffee and tea are considered water pills they contribute to dehydration actually. WE are supposed to drink 8 cups of water a day not counting the caffeinated beverages.
I too am trying to drink more water. I sweeten it with stevia.
only had one cup of coffee today with milk because we were out of half and half.
jeff asked me about the organic milk. Does that mean the cows were fed an organic diet?
good question jeff!
