Hi Bizi,

After noticing the tightness and getting the fascitis flare, I was stretching. If I use the stepper, I do stretch. The problem is doing the actual stepping -- I don't do it! I'd like to try to get back with it. Less reps, but daily perhaps. The idea was build a habit but wow, so far I am only in the habit of guiltily looking at the contraption as it sits idle.

At first it was just one day, then two, then three. Then I did a lot of lifting so nada. The next day a lot of walking so nada. Then I put my knee out getting out of bed... was under ice and diclofenac for a few days, so no nothin. And then that too resolved... but so far I haven't gotten back on that steppin' wagon! :o:rolleyes::crazy:

Want some o' my trail mix? That's what I'm eating at the moment... it's just raisins and peanuts. Australian raisins, yumsters. Good grapes grow down under. :)

Now if only I could take my mix on a trail rather than eat it in bed, lol. :D

Waves,

Those contraptions should be more considerate --- disappear from sight when we are not interested and show up ready to go when we are interested.
Maybe they could be programed with that feature == no looming shadow.

Alright! :) A happy day it is for us! :highfive:

I also forced myself to get on the stepper after dinner. Just did 100 steps. Just something to get going. I focused really hard on not leaning into the leg that has trouble. I noticed today that I tend to shift my weight when working that side, because it is so hard to push down, otherwise. I was careful to do it the "harder" (correct) way today, so that the quad gets worked fully and not who knows what muscles where. :)

I pulled out another cabinet and discovered that what I thought was a crafts box was instead full of "miscellaneous" stuff including some papers... sigh. (Not that medical thing though... this box was older than that.

I did repack the box to contain wrapping materials, envelopes and folders, both gift and other stuff. At least all that stuff is all in one place now.

The living room is now a sea of miscellaneous "stuff". I have to figure out how to get it put away, or sort of grouped together by tomorrow when my parents get up.

congratulations for getting on the stepper today!!!!
I should go to the gym tonight. I have been procrastinating on my paper work, worst this month! Just can't seem to make myself do it.:(

Thanks, Bizi. I'm like that about many things, important things. Sigh.

Have you found anything that works? Like does the 15 minute rule work for you?

I have a problem sticking to it, but I also have a problem getting started... :o

Hopeless.

My mother got up because she had too much light

My mother got up to see what all the light was. Even with the hallway door closed, she says she has too much light in their room, because of the living room light filtering under the door. I told her to shut her bedroom door. She gave me the look of a beaten puppy. She doesn't like her door shut in summer, because it gets too stuffy when it's hot. Well it's really not that hot right now, so grrr, grr, grr.

Anyway. I shut the big light off, and threw everything that was strewn about into the box that used to have the stationery. I guess I will go through it whenever. Who knows maybe I'll even sleep tonight.

Screw this. I have always done my sorting during the night. I have always done a lot of things at night. I think better at night.

I suppose I could wait until they're asleep, and turn it back on.:rolleyes::o I dunno. It feels awkward.
