Le buffet de la cuisine. ;)

They're very popular again these days. Like the one Mari posted.
People doing them up and selling them for fortune. Shabby chic and all that.

Aha!!! :D:cool:

Thanks, Lara!!! :)

LOL I'm not sure if it's correct.

I actually did study French. I have no idea why, but we only had a choice of two languages back then whereas now there's a huge range and a lot of them would be more useful to an Australian than French. I also had an Aussie teacher with an aussie accent and the only place I ever got to use my French was on a couple of Pacific Islands and then they couldn't understand a word I said and I could only understand a little of what they all said... oh apart from couscous. LOL Pardon???

"Kitchen dresser" will do quite nicely. :)

I thought you were joking about the French version. I guess not!

I was joking saying there might be a French name... I was thinking of the way we call certain dainty little closets armoires (in English), but armoire just means closet in French -- any old closet, not a specifically styled piece of furniture. ;)

people did not want to pay higher taxes on their homes....not building closets as to not be considered a bed room. and thus the need for armoires.

I removed posts which were circuitous at best.

I have been very irritable. Was really mean to my parents yesterday and I got plenty more where it came from, too.

I am going to go stick my head in the toilet now.

I have been feeling really crummy. :(

I'm still in the middle of doing that "junk drawer". It is MUCH harder than the filing. Stuff is still all over the place.

I need to go to the store... been staying I'd go for a week now and there's soemthign we are out of. I almost went the other day but it was pouring all morning, so I bailed. It cleared up later but by then I was sleeping. One of the problems with being awake at night.

I was very tired tonight and slept through tv time, maybe from about 9:30 pm. Woke up halfway a few times, but mostly slept until about 3 am. I wonder if I will be good to go all day tomorrow or if I will get tired again in the morning.

I got a bit more of the stupid stuff sorted out.

I need to get out to the store. I've put it off all morning -- 5 hours of putting off, and counting. Having trouble heave-hoing. Really need to heave-ho.

I also need a shower kind of desperately.
