I don't know if I told you or not but jeff is flying to china the day after christmas for 11 days. leaves from chicago. He will be performing a solo piece with an orchestra. He plays classical guitar. He is trying to play the piece like the original pipa instrument which is high pitched.
They will play 8 concerts while they are there, very tough schedule.
There will be some time for sight seeing they said.
I am not going.
Instead I will have 11 days to see family and friends.
Who knows what the weather will do?????

Yes, rethink. It's freakin coldddddd, and I heard it would be even colder tonight. I hope to god it warms up tomorrow. I do not have clothes for this.

We had a fire going tonight. That was nice. We are in the 40's tonight I guess.

Lightbulb

I hear you, Waves,

It's cold out and DAMP.

It is 58 at the moment and is only going to get to 66. F

Likely rain
and 100% chance of being overcast ALL DAY and into the night.
-- the sun will not come out to warm up anything.

I am trying on layers of light things and not happy with any of them because they look stupid AND because I am still cold when I walk outside.

The only way I convinced myself that it is o.k. to leave my house is that I easily found a nice pair of gloves in my bottom draw.

Nippy. It doesn't feel too damp here, but it is colder -- still in the 40's, supposed to get past 60 but I'm not holding my breath. No sun here either. "They" said it was "supposed to" come out but all I keep seeing is grey.

Haha, you sound like me between seasons. I do not have much choice right now -- wearing a pile shirt with a pile jacket over the top of it, inside the house, and I am still cold. I hope we have a fire again tonight.

What kind of gloves do you use?

I am not sure. Probably a plastic-type material with a little bit of lining.

I had a piece of bread and cheese -- usually I skip breakfast. That and some tea helped me wake up.

The "wake up" is only going to help me so much because I slept exactly 2 hours last night -- staying up late to get work done.

I hope that your day goes well.

A fire is marvelous -- I hope you get that.

Someone pointed out that where I live is probably a lot colder now. It isn't so much yet, but there I have all my winter things too. I did not have a lot of room for clothes in my luggage, so went kind of minimal. I need sweats for indoors and maybe some slippers.

Waves,

Right. It is not so much the cold as it is the frustration about not having your stuff.

And who would have ever expected that you would need sweats and slippers.
I understand.

I do wear socks in the house -- but I have tons of pairs and I keep throwing them in the washing machine -- (a different situation entirely)

Here is another one Bizi. The massive snow fall is blocking the door out for the doggie.

(And so for, this is not even a record break snow storm.)
