Bizi,

I agree that taking the lists to your pdoc and tdoc will help.

When you are upfront, they can help you.

this is what I sent to my pdoc:

Dear Dr. Orazio,
I know that I have a drinking problem and am now trying to remain Alcohol free, taking it a day at a time. I joined an on line support group called Smart recovery, like AA with out the religious slant. They used to have face to face meetings here in laf. but no longer have them. I don't want to go to AA as I did not like the one and only time that I went. Smart recovery facilitator suggested that I do a cost benefit analysis work sheet. I copied it here if you are interested. The smart has a chat room 24/7 which I have found very helpful....but am spending too much time on-line....my weight was up to 160. So I am dieting, have lost about 5 pounds.
I had stopped seeing Susan Shirly but will now see her again this friday then weekly til march 1st when our insurance changes, then I will have a $4,000 deductible and can't afford to see her.

I also sent to her the dec/jan drinking patterns and the cost benefit analysis work sheet.

Good work.

When do you see her?

I hope that give you helpful guidance.

When do you see the tdoc again?

Is it going to be once a week for a little while?

yes mari, i will see her on friday this week and hopefully on fridays of this month. until march 1st then the new insurance kicks in....
sigh
Her contracted rate is $75 an hour.
I have a contact at Smart recovery whom is a facilitator. Sage and I have been private messaging a few times. And the chat room is great. They hold on line meetings many times thru out the day. I have been to one of them.
I don't like group meetings i guess. I prefer one on one therapy but I guess for free what do you expect? Don't get me wrong I think the support is great!

THat gives you form sessions in February. YOu can get a lot accomplished with that.
Keep going to the to the Smart Rec chat room and doing the PMs.
You can probable get used to the chat room eventually. Is there a time when the chat room has fewer people.
