Trig Possible Trigger, question...

Possible trigger for crying...

Do you cry easily? Just curious, I sometimes find myself crying during the shows my son watches when they are like emotional in the shows. Mostly like Avatar the last Airbender and other shows, like Pokemon and all. Do you cry easily during sad movies if you watch them? Sometimes I think a good cry is theraputic for us. What do you think?

Hi - YES I do cry very easy. I am a very emotional person, which I always have been. I used to cry as a kid when Lassie got lost.

My anti-depressent Cymbalta or the combo of my BP meds have made a difference and do help, but like today when it came to my birds, I lost it.

The bad thing is when I do cry, I cannot control it, which can be real embarrassing, I try, but I cannot control my tears or emotions.

So, you are not alone. Actually it is a good release, usually I feel somewhat better afterwards, depending on the situation.

Hugs, Nikko

Thanks for replying Nikko, actually it was that thread you began which made me think about it and ask this question because I definitely can't control my emotions when they get going and I agree it's embarrassing but what can we do? Hugs back at you Nikko!

Well, I just let it flow. Now that I am back on my cymbalta it should help somewhat again with the tears and crying I hope.

Even still I still have those intense emotions that I cannot control as far as crying.

What a life! huh....

Red face

I cried alot during the huricane disaster here with katrina and rita, felt hopeless and helpless to really make a difference so I decided to go and volunteer at the cajun dome because I could not stop watching and not doing anything to help. Working on getting more training to be an officially trained red cross volunteer.
I must follow thru with this training in the next couple of weeks. That way I will be ready to assist when needed.

When I was with my husband I had to numb my feelings to be able to cope with the abuse but since then I am feeling and can cry very easily.
