We are only watching her a week.
So that is not too uprooting.

I was just informed:
And Abigail is not vegetarian- she is pescatarian.
Vegetarians do not eat fish.

Right! :) I looked that up for myself one time (pescatarian). Although ironically I believe I found it under variants of vegetarianism:

Does she eat dairy and eggs, too, or is she ummm... pesca-vegan?

yes she eats dairy and eggs.

It is a good idea to give the teenager some housekeeping duties: mop, vacuum, do dishes, help with laundry.

(Keep her away from cat hair duties. ;) )
If she is an outside girl, give her some lawn work during the times of day when it is not ridiculously hot/ humid.

This is the same girl that I have hired in the past to help me do paper work, filing and putting together charts and making the bills/receipts that I send to clients. very mundane stuff that I hate doing. The floors need attention which involves cat hair. But thaanks for the suggestion.
I think she leaves thursday.
For dinner last night we had boca burgers and lentil soup, cheese, a banana, some grapes and some almonds. then went to the gym and walked jogged 2 miles! yes! leg feels fine this morning.

Personally, I would continue treating her as a guest, unless she offers to do something specific, or you want to "hire" her for paperwork and such.

Seems to me she has more than enough going on without her host pulling a cinderella number on her. She isn't there by choice, or to hang out with friends. She's there because she's in a screwy situation, which already sucks plenty without adding housework.

I think it's nice that you were offering her some companionship, talking and stuff. That might help her feel comfortable if she wants to talk (she might not).

Glad to hear your leg/hip has improved. :)

This is her last night as far as I can tell.
She is reading from her new kindle....
I did a faux pa. After we had finished eating She came in and got us a thank you gift basket with a tea pot and cookies and brownies, it cost her $60!.
I was visibly dissatisfied.
She said there was the gift receipt if we wanted a different color. I told her that I did not like tea nor eat anything in the basket.
That i would take it back and that she spent too much money on it.
I hurt her feelings.
So I took it back and got a bright orange ceramic owl to hang on the back porch. And then went to whole foods to buy her a gift card for $50.
and came home to show her the owl and she liked it. Gave her the gift card and she was happy. I told her that she would not be eating organic at her next stop. I gave her a hug and told her that I loved her. She was happy and wanted to name the owl "gus" which I thought was sweet.
So all is well.
p.s.
I have not asked her to do anything.

Aww, Bizi you had me almost in tears there with the tale of the teapot and the Gus the owl.

It was very sweet of her to get you that basket though, even if it was totally the wrong thing. It sounds like you guys worked it out just fine though. The gift card to Whole Foods was a very thoughtful present on your part.
