Smile June time for a new thread!

My weight went up so fast drinking again.
bloated and uncomfortable. I had a black out the other night. Could not sleep last night until 4 am......This is crazy!
June starts tomorrow. I put the rest in the bin in the bottom of the refridgerator, I should just throw it out....jeesh!

I really think when I saw the scale go to 139.5 It really excited me. If that makes any sense...(maybe I used it as a reward???)
I don't know. anyway
I will have a dry June.

when I look at the numbers it is more and more clear to me that I can't be a moderate drinker. I can't have just 2 unfortunately.
I am a problem drinker, I binge...5 or more in one setting.
That is me.
But drinking won't define me.

I will become a runner.

Bizi, I that that I might understand.

In your words, it took me a long time to understand that "I can't be a moderate drinker".

I think that your insight that "drinking won't define me" is a really positive thing.

For me sobriety is the only choice (I don't know about you).

Any time that you would like to have a chat by PM about this is good with me.

With care and concern.

I had to stop drinking alcoholic beverages years ago. It would have caused my liver to stop working. I drank for ten years very heavily.

I read the Bible, and slowly stopped. I was really addicted mentally, and physically to bear, alcohol in bottles, and especially the 151 rum in a bottle. I drank to feel less anxiety, and it worked at first. It does something differently to you after you have been drinking for a while.

Anyway...I don't touch the stuff anymore. It's been over 20 years. I'm on medication, and I still read my bible. BF

The liver can be a real issue. My cousin went to rehab; doctor warned him his liver was not good. He was a very happy drinker; and in denial. At age 46, he passed away. Good for you BF. I know it is very difficult.

I had smoked for over 25 years. I never thought I would be able to kick the habit, but after several attempts at quitting; I finally have been cigarette free for several years. I realize I cannot even smoke one cigarette or I'll be right back smoking even more.
