Thanks Mari.
The device, yes would be something like this. Its called a prologue and it can be put on a mini pad also from what I understand. If its the right version. We would even buy one for home and have it probably on a mini pad, or insurance he's on Medicaid would also cover it. I'm getting ready to write a request for an Independent Educational Evaluation. Which the school would pay for. But I'm also considering getting a evaluation or something in writing from his private therapist so his insurance can provide same thing at home. Since I'm not sure they will like sending it home. We thought we would check it out and use a while then provide a duplicate for home. But we can get it through his Medicaid too. :grouphug:Thanks again Mari.
I should clarify he has an IPAD that he plays games, watches movies and sings with. We would get another one just for a device for talking. Reason being we don't want him to see it as a punishment. And that way the talking and device would only be for that. Donna :grouphug: |
