So happy to have my friends eating lunch with me today. I ate alone 4 days last week!
I had a great lunch, talapia with mango salsa
Yellow squash, chard and collard greens. It was so good to talk a bit with every one. I think that we will go to whole foods on friday night to socialize and maybe stay for trivia. My girl friend is trying to find a baby sitter to watch her girl gillian she is 9. She has been under a great deal of stress, I feel bad for her.
I did not drink enough water today...I need to be aware of this and drink more tomorrow.
I stumbled upon an audio work shop on procrastinating. It was an hour long. I was listening to it and kept stopping the audio to do something else, get food etc. I was procrastinating listening to the procrastinating audio!
lol

For dinner we Had 4oz of baked salmon and cup of corn for dinner.
not enough food.
so I then ate a 1/2 cup of dried cherries and the left over butternut squash soup and an apple.
now I am full!
at least they are good foods and not junk!

No rest for the wicked I guess :winky:
I hated doing paperwork!!! As if working through two weekends isn't enough! I'm glad to hear you are giving yourself Sunday morning to take it easy.

Great job AF! Those pounds are coming right off! :)

I think I am down a few pounds already.
thanks kay!

It is official, down 4 pounds this morning. 147
Planning on going to whole foods this friday to socialize and play trivia, if I hold out watching everyone around me drink and I will drink water.
I am hoping it will be fun, guess I will drive seperately in case I get anxious.
I work this weekend too. Still playing catch up from the holidays.
seeing a client saturday morning then getting my hair done which takes hours.
It is so damaged, wonder what they will do to it?
High light with color? They say color is a deep conditioner.
Any way, getting ready to start my day, but need another cup of coffee!

It is 38 degrees this morning, cold enough to wear long underwear. Got up to 62 yesterday, it will be the same today.
Clients like their homes warmer and then I end up sweating. My new scrubs are mostly polyester so they don't breath. I think they will be really hot this summer. Oh well we shall see.
Still have not done my paperwork....procrastination....
Have a great day all!

I think you are strong enough to resist the temptation of drinking Friday, but taking your own car is a good plan. :)

I'd imagine your clients' homes are like saunas if they are all elderly. I used to sweat my *** off when I was a home health aide. Dressing in layers really doesn't help much. I feel for you

Have a good day Bizi! :)

Thanks Kay:hug:

Have a busy day today then going to see my therapist who is elderly, not sure how old.
She has an office at the baptist association building and they offer her free space to use. So she offers discounted sessions=$40 for an hour.
I like her to a point.
Am seeing her because my psych doctor wants me to see someone to help me in regards to my drinking problems.
Last time I saw her before the holidays she wanted me to find someone to be accountable.
I should be accountable to myself.
I think she may have been referring to a sponsor like in AA. Not the way to go for me.
I had told her upfront that I was not looking for spiritual guidance and she said that was fine.
I drank so much over the holidays and december was my worst month ever since I have been tracking it for several years now.
sigh
I am Alcohol free for 11 days...feeling good about that.
100 days seems insurmountable.

Ate alone yesterday because the gang did not text me by accident. Mark did the texting group message and left me out unbeknownst. They went to whole foods and I had taco soup at sandras.
Today they were there.
Had a great meal. Ribeye steak medallions medium rare.
zuchinni squash, collards and bread pudding, all were delicious!
Saw my clients, ended up cutting a toe while cutting off a callus, she has a hammer toe. I felt HORRIBLE! I found out that she was on a blood thinner the hard way.
I could not get it to stop bleeding.
Finally got a big bandaide with cottton ball to stop the bleeding.
It was awful.
I told her to go to a walk in clinic to get it worked on for as soon as she removed the cotton(which will stick to the wound) it will start bleeding again.
I will call in a bit, she asked her neighbor to go with her, hope it doesn't take long for them.
Wonder what they will do???
sigh
Went to my therapy session after that and was all upset. She talked me thru it.
I really like her though. Pretty non judgemental.
Encouraged me.
I felt better than I went in so that is good.
For dinner tonight:
Had Taco soup again with cheddar cheese and sour cream, very good.
one chocolate truffle, yummy! love them from whole foods.
speaking of which....I wonder if I will be able to hang out there and drink water while the rest have delicious craft beers tomorrow?
We shall see.

Did I say that I started a good chunk of my taxes last night.
They seem harder to do this year, tax act.com changed things up a bit.
Am awaiting Jeffs w2's and his self employment paperwork.
WE may actually get a refund this year!

A less responsible person would have stopped with the bandage you put on. I'm sure that your client will be fine, especially since her neighbor was taking her to the walk-in based on your advice.
They will likely soak the cotton in normal saline before they remove it. And if it's a small cut, they'll just redress it with a non-stick dressing once it stops bleeding- if it bleeds at all. It shouldn't take long.
It's very good of you to follow up. I know you feel badly, but we all make mistakes, it was an accident, and I think you handled the situation very well.:hug::hug:

I'm glad your therapy session went well, you liked her, and you felt better afterwards.

I hope you get the tax return this year! We've had to pay a couple hundred bucks the last few years... yuck. I hope we get a refund, too.
