i had such a wonderful time with my nephew who i haven't seen in about 20 years. the time melted away so fast and we were immediately comfortable with each other. We talked about family. My father loved them so much and Alex loved my father so much. He was like a different man with his grandchildren. I didn't mention his drinking. I did mention that he was a depressed man and said that even Uncle ray said he was depressed. we didn't talk about politics at all. we talked a little about the stock market. He said people are going out and buying a lot of cars which means they are not scared about losing their jobs. He thinks we are just in a correction. He follows 29 reits as a financial analyst. there was so much love when he was talking about his seven and nine year old. I did tell him i was poor I freaked at the menu prices and told him i couldn't afford them. he said don't worry it is on me. I made another reference to my financial state when i told him i had cleaning help twice a week and was charged 75 cents an hour.
He mentioned going to some close relatives funerals and didn't seem accusatory that i didn't go
We kissed a few times and hugged a few times and he said he loved me a few times. he said myra loved me very much and wished things had been different. i mentioned how i called her about five years ago hysterical saying i needed a sister. she was nice in her response.

ps i was so shocked i ordered a second meal of chinese food for dinner...that is also a first..

ps we talked a lot about sports and how his children excelled in golf etc. and i mentioned what a great athletic my father was. My father was so self critical. he never congratulated himself for anything.

it still doesn't seem real and i am out of kilter(sp) he didn't answer me back today but i guess that is all right.
I feel overwhelmed.
abby is so light now it is scary. I think she might weight four pounds rather than her usual six. I have been petting her most of the night. She has been purring.
she isn't sleeping that much. I can't believe that she is dying.

It's great you like and trust your pdoc How did the appointment go?

I usually weigh myself, and then get on the scale holding the cats and use the difference to figure out their weights.

I think if Abby was close to dying she'd be sleeping a lot

the appt went well. i told him i was all over the place but feeling better about myra's death and happier now that the holidays had passed. I tell him i have trouble sleeping and still depressed. he didn't change medication after he asked me what i thought about the last change 150 welbutrin down from 200. I told him i didn't think welbutrin helped me anyways.
he initiated talking about his dog teddy who he said needs to go to boot camp. he goes to doggy day care everyday. recently teddy got the tail feather of the parakeet in his mouth and wouldn't let go. Dr Bergman had to go over to teddy to make him stop. He is a gentle man. I now feel comfortable with him but i don't think he can get rid of the depression. He hasn't suggested a mood stabilizer but when i was on topamax i had no food binging but i had some brain fog and memory issues. i don't want to go back there
I am afraid to get on the scale right now or i would have done it last night. two meals of chinese food and a pint of ice cream work their magic...black magic.
