I'm on eastern time, period. I just always stay that way.
Otherwise I'd be really messed up. Since half of Indiana seems to change either central or eastern. Donna :hug::grouphug: |
Kay,
Your husband saying it is the real time now --- lol. It was nice driving home in the daylight instead of the dark after Monday's long work day. M |
How are you doing Mari?

missing you....

I have been waking up around 6 for some reason, whether I got enough sleep or not.
Today I went outside to see the full moon before it starts waning. It was beautiful to see it in the Western sky. I do not think I have ever seen the "setting" moon. Tomorrow is an employee recognition barbecue set up outside on a field. I am reserved to the point of being shy and this kind of unstructured but structured event feels like torture. Both hubby and I are getting "recognized" because our time falls on years in multiples of fives: 10, 15, 20, 25. It does not seem fair. I have to go. Yet, I could easily screw up because the two big big bosses will be there. Also so called colleagues. M |
I've been getting up around 6 am for months now and I hate it. I should walk outside to see the moon. What a wonderful way to start the day!
I think I understand what you mean by an "unstructured but structured event" being torture. Those kind of things can be so uncomfortable. I never know what to do with myself in those situations aside from gluing myself to one person for safety if possible (I have a tendency to do that in all social situations). Having the bosses there is obviously more stressful. I'm sorry you have to go… I hope everything goes alright. And congratulations for your mystery achievement! :) |

All employees who did not arrive 5/10/15/20/25/30 years ago are also invited/ encouraged to attend. Maybe I will find someone to talk to that I have not seen much --someone who is not in an unfavored political camp and who does not annoy me. (Feeling grumpy) M |
Lol, I'm sorry I missed the "achievement" in the original post Mari.
I've been out of the workforce for so long, I forgot about the political implications of the workplace. I know some places are worse than others. Anywhere where there's a union has the potential to be absolutely unbearable. My last job was at the VA… No, I don't miss the politics. |
I hope you find someone to talk to that is agreeable.:)
bizi Who did not sleep well last night. yawn |
taxes -- finally
Hubby's social security was used by someone else last year when we were supposed to get a refund.
It was a big mes. For the last 10 months hubby has been dealing with the IRS himself via phone calls and two days ago spent over an hour at an appt after driving to the IRS regional office to make sure we had everything right to file. (New procedures were put in place for people in our category & things became confusing.) We are paying the IRS a little this year and will work it out that way in the future (prevents criminals from getting a hold of our refund). Hubby mailed the completed forms Saturday a.m. feeling relieved, M |
