Wow, you can go through caffeine withdrawals if you drink 1 cup of coffee a day? That's wild. Interesting article, Bobby. Maybe it is the coffee. Hopefully, the withdrawals will only last a week

That was really interesting bobby.
It sounds like caffeine can interfere with your sleep in general if you drink it thru out the day.
I think I also read in there somewhere that you can avoid caffeine withdrawl by having small amounts of caffeine.
So cutting back may not be affecting you.
Maybe I read that wrong.

No, you read that correctly Bizi. I read that the same thing, but maybe it's not true for everyone? I drink about 6 cups of coffee a day, and I know 1-2 cups just doesn't do it for me…

Bobby

When it comes to Pudge, might be just not eating as much as you think should.
Just keep a eye on. Also are you trying to feed them both same thing.

Make sure Pudge's is what he/she likes.

I make my cats eat the same thing. If you only put out one kind of food, and don't feed them table scraps, they figure out before long that's all they're going to get and they eat it.

I always worry about the above. I still haven't seen pudge eat much in the past few days. I hope I am just missing her when she is eating. I think she might be afraid of misu. I have food in the closet for her...the food she always eats.
misu is eating up a storm.
I still don't feel well. My stomach is off and my throat is stil sore. Maria said I don't have a fever. I got six hours of sleep last night

I think it said not eating for weeks???
Maybe you will have to feed them separately.
We only feed ours dry IAMS and have it out all of the time in one of those self feeders/gravity flow so they graze all day. One cat is overweight and one is thin both seem healthy and happy.
They are 8-9 years old, so hopefully we have many years to love them.

Have you seen Pudge eat at all? She might just be doing it quietly when Misu isn't around. You could try putting out 2 separate bowls… Or maybe Pudge is just adjusting to the new food?

Please don't worry about fatty liver disease. Some cats will develop that despite healthy diets, and I'm sure Pudge is eating enough to avoid that… the food is there, she will eat it when she is hungry.

Humans can get fatty liver disease because of malnutrition, too. But it can also be caused by factors such as obesity or alcoholism and can cause cirrhosis.

I am feeding them separately with two kinds of food. pudges food is in the closet where she likes to eat it. yesterday afternoon she ate three times. she hasn't eaten today. I had read after a few days it is dangerous for them not to go without food. I am still worried and stressed.

I didn't know that. Pudge is getting the same food as before. right now she is back on the bed which is a good sign. I am feeling awful and yesterday physically awful and still do and felt as if i was going to have a break down.
