It has rained the last 2 nights when it began. we will go after work around five. They have shuttle buses so you can park and take the bus downtown. very convenient!
This is the biggest festival of the year and the best free one in the country if not world!!!!!

beautiful weather sat in the shade most of the day. Friends of ours let us park in front of his house so we walked to the festival instead of taking the shuttle bus. It is a good thing that jeff has a good sense of direction. With all of the streets blocked off for the festival he gets us where we want to go without any problems. I hang on to him like a lost puppy. It is going to be something else when we go to italy.....

Well the festival was amazing, so much fun.
friday 5 drinks
saturday all day 7 drinks
sunday all day 3 drinks
which makes 15 drinks (the equivalent to 3 bottles of wine) for the week not horrible for a festival weekend!


It is difficult for me to record my beer drinks because I drink higher alcohol content beers and they are served either in 12oz glass or 14-16 oz glass.
a normal beer is 12 oz and around 5%alcohol. My beers are usually 6-10% alcohol content. so I have to drag out my calculator to get a better idea of how many units that I have consumed.
I think 1 unit is equal to a regular beer 5% 12 oz or 1.5 oz of hard liquor, or 5 oz of wine.
So If I have a pint of 8% beer I call that 2 units.
While I was in new orleans a few weeks ago I had 3 tall hurricanes. I guessed that they had 2 units 3 oz of alcohol in each drink.

I keep good records of my drink counts and have just recently looked at my weekly counts.

You really do put a lot of effort into it Bizi. I wonder if your pdoc understands just how much? She should understand not every one of her patients is going to abstain from alcohol. I wish she could respect the level of motivation you have to monitor and moderate your use :hug:

Am going to ask her for help in managing my trip, extra copies of scripts in case I need them, zyprexa 15mg for emergency break thru mania. Increase klonipin in case I need it. A single dose of zyprexa is all it took a couple of times the past 4 months. She doesn't know about that. Old zyprexa that she prescribed 7 years ago. still worked.
I might even ask her for a prescription for an antibiotic in case I get a sinus infection.
Wonder if she would write that for me?
getting excited about our trip. Made reservations for a catacombes tour last night. millions of bones stacked in this below ground mass cemetary.
These tours avoid the hours long lines to get in them. worth the extra monies when we don't have that much time and want some english narration.
