Using the Italian and French words for "Thank you" and "Please" and can get you far.

Otherwise, in most of the tourist places the local workers you interact with will be speaking in English.
(The American and Brit tourists themselves will be speaking in English of course.)

Wow bizi, you have packed a lot into your trip!

I have found that younger French and Italian folk often speak at least some English (I speak rudimentary, three years at high school, French but no Italian - I have never had any problems).

I hope that you both have a great time :).

It all sounds wonderful and you will have plenty to keep you busy. It must have taken you a lot of time and work to put together that itinerary.

I keep thinking about the food… can't help it. It is going to be amazing!
