The tourist sites will be dried out by time you get there:

Seine River peaks in Paris, top museums stay shut for days - The Washington Post

Quote:

The Louvre, home to Leonardo da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa,” said it won’t reopen until Wednesday, while the Orsay Museum, known for its impressionist art, was closed at least through the weekend.

I hope everything dries out for you, as Mari's source says.

I wonder what it will be like walking around paris for 4 days with constantly wet shoes????That is if they get wet.
I am not bringing other shoes, wonder if we will have access to a washer and dryer at the hotel, it is a nice hotel so probably not.
Finished up with some details and plans, one of the attractions that I wanted to see is actually closed the day that we had scheduled it. I did not read the very small printing of hours close enough.
Oh well, I am glad that I figured it out now instead of going there and it be closed.
Working again today....
A new hard client this am then lunch with jeff then a wonderful husband and wife couple whom I enjoy our visits very much so that will be fine. So an easy rest of the day.
I was so surprised yesterday when I came home to a box of flowers that jeff did not send to me. I don't think I have ever had flowers sent to me before.
They were 2 dozen pink roses from capital one. Wishing us a happy anniversary.
WOW!
That was so nice of them!
And what a surprise!!!!
Have a great day yall!

Wow, it's amazing that such a big company would do something like that! That's sounds like something the neighborhood bank would do 50 years ago!

You don't want to get stuck having to buy new kicks if something happens to your sneakers in Europe. Is there a second pair of shoes you could consider taking just in case?

I've been to a couple of pretty nice hotels that have hidden self-service laundry facilities if you ask. Most hotels will also usually launder your clothes for you for a fee. And, of course, you could track down a laundromat… but who wants to do that on vacation in Paris?

My addition:

On the day we got married in Vegas, we had to wash my husband's dress shirt (we didn't have enough time to have the hotel do it) because he was drunk the night before and insisted on wearing it to dinner. We used the onsite guest laundromat at the Stratosphere, where we stayed and were married.

Thanks kay, I think I might have a bit of room to pack another pair of shoes. Married in las vegas that must have been entertaining! WAs it the elvis one? what was the stratosphere like?

I would definitely pack another pair of shoes if you can get them in.

We even pack more shoes for our weekend in Terre Haute, for the
boys. And I try to remember to pack myself an set because one
year it poured raining the whole weekend. I had to go out and
buy a second pair because I forgot to pack.

But Derrick and Will will have track shoes and regular. All tennis
shoes but they will have both. Derrick will probably take some for
showering also. I know Will is, because I bought them. Sometimes
they have to go to another floor to take their showers. So I don't
want him going bare foot to do that.

We leave on Friday, time to start figuring out what all we still need.
I know I have to shop for some clothes too. Mine are a lot of
them it lose.
