I bought the water proof hiking shoes and a new rain jacket with a visor to keep the rain off of my glasses, and new socks.
very expensive! oh well. taking a much needed shower tomorrow!!!!!. still have a few items to get. run to office depot to pick up the itinerary that I left in the copy machine, I sent it to my folks so they could follow along if they want to do that. Need to do some billing for work and balance the check book. Maybe move money around....pick up Rx's. Jeff picked up the euros today...pretty money. exchange rate is good 1 euro =$1.16 so we won't have too hard of a time figuring that out. I bought some lara bars for snacks. dense bars....and some gum because I chew that alot and it helps keep me from getting thirsty. I will try to limit my fluid intake due to the lack of bathrooms there. oh and I forgot, I have 2 loads of laundry to do, my uniforms so that they will be done when I get back home. bizi |
There are bathrooms near the Vatican and other places with tourists.
As long as you buy something, restaurants will let you use their bathrooms. The big cities like Paris and Rome have public bathrooms. Stay hydrated. M |
Yay for excitement :D!
I hope that you both have fun. |
Have a great time Bizi.

We had a JP marry us. The wedding chapel at the Stratosphere is the highest in the United States. It's a beautiful hotel. We hired a photographer and had lovely pictures taken inside and outside on the observation deck. We had dinner at the hotel's revolving restaurant that night. It was wonderful! I would elope all over again! We did see an Elvis impersonator on my birthday at the Sahara. His name is Trent Carlini, and he was incredible! With our tickets we got coupons. If you bought $40 in chips you got $50 worth. We cleaned up at the roulette tables that night! But… It's not my 20th anniversary. Is there something you'd like to share with us about your wedding? |
I'm glad that you are bringing waterproof shoes, socks, and the rain gear even though it cost you a lot of money. It sounds like you will need it, and I'm sure it would have been more expensive to buy in Paris.
I can't believe you are leaving tomorrow!!! I hope you have a fantastic time, and get the opportunity to see everything you want, and share every experience you can with Jeff!!! Happy Anniversary!!! Safe and happy travels!!! :):):) Love, Kay |
i remember once when i went to Italy and took a tour to florence. the hotel gave a big breakfast. I wasn't think and had a lot of coffee. for ten minutes it was touch or go..i had to go so badly and the bus kept going. I was with my mother and we trying to figure what to do. then thank God with maybe a minute to spare the bus stopped and i was the first at the bathroom. I learned my lesson.
have the greatest anniversary and the greatest trip. I am sure you won't make the same mistake i did. bobby |
You are so right bobby, I have been thinking about that. no more than 2 cups of coffee and I decreased my mag oxide to 1 1/2 pills.
Thanks for your comment, glad that you made it off in time!!!!That would have been just terrible! whew! bizi wedding memory.... Just before jeff put on my wedding ring I raised my right hand and he gently put it down and took my left hand. lol bizi |
Well I am finished packing for the most part.
We went out for dinner tonight at bonefish grill. It was very good. I had 3 dirty martinis. they were very good! I always get the same dish. lilys chicken: chicken breast fileted topped with spinach and artichok and goat cheese and lemon butter. YUMM!!! I talked to my twin this evening for 90 minutes! it was good to talk to her about her girls etc. I am glad that I had finished packing so I could spend that time on the phone with her. I am sitting here in my jammies.... our ride comes at 8:30 am, I woke up at 6am this morning so am tired and yawning. Need to stay up or I will be awake at an ungodly hour. I had lunch with a girl friend of mine: paula. We ate at sandras health food store. I had chicken schwarma and lentil rice and collard greens and apple cake for desert. she had spinach and lentil soup and tabbouli. very good. Got up at 6am and I had the day off so finished up last minute things. I did 2 loads of laundry, finished billing for the month, charting new clients, filing etc. Then took a much needed shower. So that was a feat! This evening finished packing my fanny pack and it is stuffed full had to let the belt out. My sister suggested moist wet ones, so we went to target. Jeff also did not realize that his toiletry items needed to be in 3oz containers so we picked some up at target too. I could not find a mirror there so unfortunately will not get to view the sistine chapel with a mirror as suggested. My neck will just get tired from looking up. bizi Who will not have internet access....will miss you guys. |
I forgot to tell you that I bought an inflatable neck pillow for the plane ride.
I have a tempermental neck and needed support if I am really going to be able to sleep on the plane. I have ear plugs as well as my night meds and 7.5mg of zyprexa....I am hoping I can sleep! other wise a 10 hour flight will be torturous. bizi This is really happening!!!!! |
