the family secret that my father was an alcoholic and bipolar II and why Myra had cosmic sibling rivalry. He didn't bat an eye and he is a very sensitive kid.'I said to him I didn't know if he believed me. I said why didn't he think we hadn't seen each other other don't you in twenty years. I hope I did the right thing and didn't destroy too much. I told him he was an honorable man and never stole or cheated. He was a lawyer and helped the young lawyers in his office when he was retired.
In the nursing home after his stroke he would visit other residents and wish them well and try to cheer them up. I said he died a hero in my eyes. I was there when he died bobby |

Hello mymorgy: Thank you for sharing this. I don't know how old your nephew is. But you mentioned he's a sensitive kid. There may be questions he'll want to ask, once he's had time to process this. I'm glad you were able to be there for your father when he died. The Skeezyks offers his best wishes...

my nephew is in his forties and is very happily marred to a wonderful woman with two adorable boys aged 7 and 9. Do you think I did the right thing??
I couldn't read him at all. He said we would get together in the fall. He is the youngest of three successful brothers. I had previously told him how my father glowed over them. Bobby |

Hi Bobby (?): Oh... if he's in his forties... sure... I was envisioning him as still being a child!

Don't worry Bobby, I think you did a good thing
![]() ![]() ![]() You've been wanting to unburden yourself of this information for a while now, and it's probably a good thing for him to hear. It's family history. Who knows what his mother told him about her childhood, your father, or why the two of you hadn't been close in a long time? You didn't make your father out to be a scoundrel because you also told your nephew about his finer points, how he loved your nephews, and redeemed him in the end. Did you tell your nephews about your stroke and upcoming surgery? |
