Is it possible that the med trials of those twelve months with new pdoc messed
up my stomach permanently?

=-=-
Many of her meds caused either 1) stomach ache/ nausea or 2) anxiety. Sometimes those
feel like the same thing. Rice helped both.

It is possible that you could have an ulcer, or another kind of irritation in your digestive tract, from taking one or more of those meds, and anxiety could make something like that worse. Some meds can also cause acid reflux, which can cause stomach pain and nausea.

If you are still suffering, you may want to try taking an OTC like Prilosec (if there are no interactions, etc) for a little while to see if you experience any improvement

I think you are on to something. Perhaps an over the counter med could help.
nexium, prilosec, zantac...check with pharmacist for drug interactions.
sorry you now are dealing with your stomach issues.

I don't want to worry you but if it continues....call your mdoc make an appointment. They may prescribe carafate, of course don't know.....if I remember right that is.
Some times an antibiotic is needed. Your doctor will know or refer you to a Gastro doctor.
I am sorry that you are having issues.
((((HUGS))))

We will never know why but a few years ago. I had lots of these problems.

I went to gastro doctor and then another one. Because nothing was working.
It turned out that going on nexium after a couple of the other meds was
what helped me. Even to the extent I don't need it anymore. WHen my
stomach acts up I really watch what I eat. It seems to be good for
me. I do eat many blands anyway because it helps me.

And its what I like.

Default Phone call with sis

Phone call with sis helped me figure out that I do indeed have an ulcer.

Sis did a bunch of stuff over a period of a few years:
  • scoped
  • antibiotics
  • other meds
  • scoped a second time
  • acupuncturist
  • acupuncturist-type herbs
  • (Can't remember the order of events but sis is fine now)

I ordered these on Amazon to take while I wait for appointment w/ mdoc - will
call tomorrow.
  • Betaine
  • Ashwagandha root
  • Himalaya Organic Licorice

I might call an acupuncturist because I would prefer that to the med
route my sis described.

I have learned that I get side effects from meds.
I think I would freak out if I also got side effects
with meds to help my stomach.

Thank you, Bizi,

My sister named some of the harmful side effects . . especially zantac.

Nasty stuff.
I've already been on psych meds for decades.
I wish I did not have to consider adding more prescription meds.

Yes. Thanks, Kay,

If I call mdoc Monday or Tues when I can, she would see me in about two
or three weeks.
