I'm okay... I'm sorry I worried you guys :hug::hug::hug:

I usually post early in the morning, but I've been sleeping later, and I had an appointment with the physiatrist at 10am Monday, and an 8:45am appointment with the shoulder guy yesterday.

I updated the physiatrist on everything going on. He would like me to do PT in the pool again, but I won't because being in a bathing suit would leave the terrible scars on my wrists and left arm exposed (I don't mind the PT seeing them so much as the other patients in the pool). I told him that the radiologist who read the CT of my abdomen I had for my kidneys remarked on the "scattered degeneration of the visualized skeleton," and he wants me to get him a copy of the CD so he can look at my hips and back. It's a pain in the ***, but I'm working on it.

The shoulder guy diagnosed me with rotator cuff tendonitis. I have to go to PT. He had trouble turning my neck in different positions during the exam, and it caused upper shoulder/upper back pain, so he said that a lot of the pain is probably from my neck, too. He is going to send a note to the neck ortho (who I see next week) suggesting he give me another injection in the left side of my neck. I think that would be the third on that side. Maybe the second. I can't remember.

Mood-wise I'm doing fine. I'm not thinking about anything I don't want to either, which is a very good sign :)

I am exhausted, feeling weak, and am in a lot of pain tho. I'm sleeping a lot. Hopefully if I get enough rest, I'll bounce back from all the crap I did for Thanksgiving soon. Hopefully, that's all it is.

I'm going grocery shopping today. I'm leaving the laundry until Friday.

Thanks Bizi :hug::hug::hug:

Yesterday I realized I have a sinus infection, which is probably part of why I've been sleeping so much. I don't want to go to the doctor... so many other appointments already... so I'm sitting here fighting with myself over what I'm going to do about it.

I am sorry you are sick, me too.

Fortunately for me, my PCP didn't have any appointments available, so he just called in an antibiotic for me. It was/is a big relief not to have to go in. I have to pick the script up today.

IDK... maybe some of my pain now is because I've been too sedentary/sleeping too much? It's a delicate balance. I do know that doing laundry today would be too much for me. Corey had a short work week last week, so there's less laundry, so I can get away with putting it off until Monday. I will be out and about running some errands today, so maybe a little activity will help? Or make things worse? I have no f***ing idea.

I've never had to contact a PT place myself to initiate therapy. The doctors' offices have always taken care of it for me in the past. I'll call the place today and ask them what I need to do. I may have to go through my PCP first. I'll be bringing my PT script somewhere today to get things rolling.

I've already picked up the CD with the CAT scan images the physiatrist wants to see. So I'll drop that off at his office today. I also need to drop off the rent check and pick up some cat litter somewhere...
And play the lottery! For the first time in over a year, I missed a day because I felt too shitty to go out.

And I'm sure after all that I'll be napping.

I hope you win the lottery!
and good luck with all of your errands. Glad that he called in an RX for your sinus infection. And I hope you feel better soon!

Some people are helped with gentle floor or chair exercises:

Are you o.k. with standing (I'm not so I do not remember). Tai Chi can work.
It can probably be done in a chair like yoga can.

YOu can do these seated exercises without the hand weights.

Thank you, Mari! I had no idea there were so many long-sleeve bathing suits out there!

I'm in no shape to do any type of floor exercises. Every time I've done PT for my lower extremities, they've put me in the pool, at least at first. At least now I know I CAN go in the pool if I decide I want to, but right now I have to deal with my shoulder.

I called the PT place and they told me to call my PCP's office and ask for a referral. I called and left a message with all the info, also asking whether or not I needed to bring them a copy of the PT script or not, but I never got a call back. I have my first PT appointment Monday. I hope the referral went through.

I didn't drop the CD off at the physiatrist's office yesterday, but I got everything else I needed to do done. I was thinking I should hold onto it until after my neck ortho's appointment because he does backs, too. But I don't plan on doing anything about my back anytime soon...
so I will drop the CD off at the physiatrist's office on Monday.

I'm really no better or worse off from running around yesterday, but I've started taking the Diclofenac (a prescription NSAID) again, and that helps a little. I hope it doesn't start tearing up my stomach like it did before...
