Low Carb Fruits & Veggies for Summer | Atkins
12-15 grams of carbs from vegetables or about 1/2 cup.

This is what I remember re Veggies and low carb Fruits:
kale, spinach, collards, Swiss chard, bok choy, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts,
asparagus, bell peppers, celery, cucumber, eggplant, garlic, green beans, kohlrabi, leeks, okra,
red or white onions, rhubarb, scallions, snow peas, yellow squash, zucchini.

Also, spaghetti squash, turnips, radishes, fennel.
avocados, tomatoes, black olives, hearts of palm, mushrooms, dill pickles.

On the South Beach Diet, you should eat a "minimum of 2 cups with lunch and dinner and with breakfast as often as possible."

Sorry, about the stages... you don't repeat them.

You start with phase 1(usually for 2 weeks), which is pretty restrictive, but slowly add in more foods in phase 2. You stay in stage 2 until you reach your weight loss goal. In phase 3, you should be following the basic principles of the diet and be eating healthy with all foods in moderation. It's meant to be a change of lifestyle...

I went off the wagon and didn't stay in stage 3. I ate whatever the hell I wanted and gained the weight back.

I am confused. I signed up for the meals but it sounds like they repeat each month. do you mean two cups of vegetables a meal? Are you still on it?

OhKay 01-27-2018 10:34 AM

They revamped the diet (but I don't know how) since I started using it the first time, and I still do it the old way. I've never bought food from them. I do it on my own, so I don't know how that works.

I'm still on the diet. Still on Phase 1. I do that longer than the usual 2 weeks, which is okay as long as you are tolerating it well, as I am.

I have at least 2 cups of vegetables with all 3 meals... usually raw for breakfast and lunch. A lot of people can't squeeze veggies into their breakfasts. I'm sure they find a way to do it with the prepared meals they are going to send you tho.

You should be able to find out more information on their website.

thanks. I got confused because i think you are supposed to supply your own vegetables.I wonder if you can use v 8 juice. their vebsite is sketchy

OhKay 01-27-2018 10:51 AM

Bobby, the meals they send you should be complete, and you shouldn’t worry about adding anything to them.

V8 is great! But go for low sodium if you can get it.
