You are so great with looking up things. Just keep looking out for yourself. Donna :grouphug: |
I went back down to 400mg of gabapentin last night because I was afraid a couple of days of it would drag me down too far. My anxiety is pretty well under control this morning. If I'm having problems come Monday, I WILL call my pdoc.
I saw my neuro yesterday. After he examined me, he didn't seem worried about the concussion. He is concerned about the tremor in my left hand, but it's really nothing new. I think he probably glossed over it before thinking it was from lithium. It's time for an MRI of my brain anyway. He drew blood, in part to test my eGFR (a measure of kidney function), because they will not give me the contrast for the MRI if it is too low. The last time it was checked on 9/8, it was 63. Maybe (I hope) it's higher this time because I've lost some weight... This is the test I asked the shitty nephrologist to run several times, but he didn't/wouldn't. I gave him a glowing report on how well the medical marijuana is working to manage the spasticity in my legs at night :) We just had a cold snap, but now we're going to get a heat wave... It's 8am and it's already 33 degrees out! It's supposed to get close to 50 degrees! We will have a couple of days of 40-50 degree weather, unless that changes, and the weather here changes fast. |
I am glad that your neuro guy is so helpful and is paying attention to you.
your old nephro is an idiot. ((((HUGS)))) bizi |

Hope your numbers are good. Donna :grouphug: |
The results of the blood work I had done Friday are already posted online...
My eGFR is LOWER :( I can't wait to see the new nephrologist. My white cell count is slightly elevated again. I don't know what's up with that, or why that keeps happening, but whatever. |

The stereo in my car is messed up, so I called the dealership to make an appointment to replace it. The lady I spoke to talked to a guy in parts, and he said since the POS factory radio would cost $375, I may as well upgrade and buy a better one, and he suggested I buy a $100 Pioneer with Bluetooth sold by Walmart and have the dealership install it. So I bought the radio online, and once it arrived, I called for an appointment to have it installed. I spoke to the same woman, who remembered me, and she knew exactly what I was making the appointment for.
But when I got there yesterday morning to drop my car off, I waited for over a 1/2 hour for a guy in service reception to tell me very rudely that they don't install "after-market" parts. I told him that the appointment never should have been made if that was their policy. Let's just say I was not happy, and I let him know it. After all, I initially called to have them install a factory radio. So, Corey's going to install the new radio. He's installed some before, but not stereos with Bluetooth and xm radio, or in a car with OnStar. I looked for a part he said he would need for the stereo I bought, but I couldn't find one that wouldn't disable some safety warnings. To be safe, I ended up buying a Sony (with some extra features) for the same price from a website that not only tells you if the stereo is compatible or not, but they tell you all the parts you need to install it properly without disabling those safety warnings, and they give you directions specific to your vehicle- complete with pictures. It will be here Wednesday. I will return the other stereo to a Walmart store vs. going through the hassle of mailing it back. So, we're probably going to end up better off having Corey install the new stereo I bought (fingers crossed). I know we'll definitely save a ton of money on labor. He said he'll install it this weekend, but you know how he is... I have a bunch of errands I should run today. I hope I can get to most of them. I should make a list. I know I have to get to the dispensary to buy MJ because I am out. |
Lets hope corey installs your stereo soon. But he does not have the best track record.
((((HUGS)))) bizi |
You are right, Bizi. Corey has a terrible track record!!!
I looked at the directions and it says he will need a tool he doesn't have, so I will pick it up tomorrow or Friday. He doesn't think he needs it, but he does unless he wants to damage the interior of the car. It was terrible out yesterday! We had freezing rain all morning. I didn't go out until about 11:30 when it turned to rain, but my whole car was covered with ice. It stayed in the low 30's, but it rained heavily all day. The weather is just going to be wild in the coming days- switching back and forth between the high 40s and mid 20s. After I went to Walmart to return the stereo, I went to a shop that sells paraphernalia, and treated myself to a new bowl (you smoke MJ out of it, most are made of glass now) because I hate the one I have. I got a very pretty smaller one that is pink, blue, and white, and I love it! :) I bought two different types of MJ at the dispensary. I tried one of them last night, and it's much stronger than what I was smoking before, and I ended up getting really stoned by accident. I will have to be careful how much I smoke of that, but I didn't wake up with any spasms last night, so it did its job. The new stereo is due to arrive today. Since I don't know when to expect UPS, I'm stuck at home waiting for them, and I'm not happy about it because there are things I would like to get out and do, and need to do. I will be doing my favorite thing tomorrow... laundry... so I won't have the time to do much else. |
sorry about your temperature fluctuations, be careful of that ice.
Glad that you got yourself something pretty! and happy to hear of no leg spasms. What a blessing! hugs to you today (((((HUGS)))) bizi |
