I ended up going back to bed at 12:30 and didn't wake up until 4pm. By that time, traffic would have been heavy and the grocery store would have been a zoo, so Corey told me I should wait until today to do the shopping and we should order out... again.

We have ordered out 3 out of the last 4 nights, which I know is horrible. I haven't weighed myself today, but as of yesterday I hadn't gained any weight. I've lost 12.4 pounds since I started the diet on Jan. 10th... about 15lbs in total. But my rings are tight this morning, so I'm probably retaining water from all the salt in last night's chicken finger dinner, and I think I will skip the weigh in today.

Corey hurt his back badly again and is in a ton of pain. Of course he won't go see a doctor, but he's been very attached the the heating pad, and is willing to try using some lidocaine lotion today. I'm trying to talk him into trying TENS. He said he seems to be sleeping well on the new mattress tho.

He is still sleeping. I don't think that it will be much better based on how it was yesterday, but I really hope so

He's had problems with his back like this since 2007, and when diagnosed back then it was a disc problem. All the lidocaine in the world won't help with that, but he wanted to try it. You can't apply heat over an area you treat with it tho, and we decided not to use it because I think the heat from the heating pad would penetrate better, and that has seemed to help a bit.

His work is very physical, and he won't take any time off to recooperate or go see a doctor, so it will get worse before it gets better. He needs a vacation. He should take it now, but he is involved in several big jobs/projects, and won't.


I drank a ton of water yesterday to flush all the sodium from the takeout food out of my system, and I was a good girl and stuck to my diet. I weighed myself this morning, and I'm down 0.8lbs since I weighed myself on Friday. I can't believe it... I ate all that crap! Maybe I should add more crap back into my to my diet!

Corey's back is a little better. He's not on call anymore, so he came home with an 18-pk and I guess the drinking helped
I hope his back keeps getting better without the drinking.
He's supposed to have President's Day off, but he agreed to work, and "immediately regretted it." Thank God it's a non-issue now because the company he was supposed to go to is going to be closed. He could really use the 3 day weekend.

I got my nails done yesterday morning. I was in the mood for something different, and I chose a pretty shade of light pink. Judy, who does my nails, invited me to her baby shower. I should go because I should be mixing it up and meeting new people, but I doubt I will. Of course I will buy a gift tho because she's a doll.

I'm finally going to color my hair today. I don't know how long it's been, but my roots are really bad. I don't like doing it because it hurts my neck and it's messy. I've been holding off on cleaning the tub/shower until after I do it, so it really needs a good cleaning at this point, and I'll do that today.

I've already done our taxes with H & R Block software, but I need to check my work before I file them. I will probably finish them today tho.

I'm going to have to watch the scale because recently I'm losing quite a bit of weight quickly right now even when I haven't been sticking to my diet

Judy is not planning on taking much time off at all after she has the baby. I think she will need more time than she thinks she will tho. She said she can't afford the time off. I think her grandparents will take care of the baby while she's at work.

Corey woke up late again. He was cursing his alarms, but I heard one of them going off at 2am (with earplugs in) when I got up to go to the bathroom. He got s-faced last night... so maybe he should stop blaming his alarms, or at least come up with a better system. He had to be at a site an hour away by 5am, and that's when he woke up.

I bought filet mignon at the butcher shop for our Valentine's Day dinner tonight. I'm also going to make baked potatoes, which have been taboo for a long time because of the diet. We will enjoy them... lol.

I did everything I set out to do yesterday. I e-filed our taxes, and opted for direct deposit. We're not getting a TON of money back, but any money's welcome, so I hope we get it soon.

I have to do laundry today. My favorite thing.

I drove to 2 laundromats yesterday, and both of them were PACKED. I decided to abandon the idea of doing laundry yesterday and put it off until today because:
1. I don't like to fight for machines
2. It's too hard for me to maneuver in crowds (especially with laundry), and
3. I just don't like being around a lot of people

I will have to leave EARLY today so I don't encounter the same problem.

We had a nice quiet Valentine's Day. We exchanged cards, and I made the filet, and it came out very good.

I told Corey he needed to change the sound of the alarms on his phone, and try setting them on his work phone, too. He woke up on time this morning, but he didn't drink last night...
