yes it is raining cats and dogs in Indy and parts of the interstates are under flash flooding.
Hubby is stuck in the house with his mom. The cable is out so no tv for her.
She likes to watch fox news all day.
She uses her ipad so that is good and she has jeff visiting which I am sure she is delighted about.
We have a strained relationship, it is my fault. Last time I was there I cried.
My m-I-L actually got mad at me and told me so. This summer I will be up with my family as long as I can get away with it.
We are coming up earlier than planned to be with my family as we throw my aunt barbs ashes into lake michigan...she was cremated after her sudden death and had had all of her end of life expenses paid for. And made it easy for my folks.
She still is in shock, she was only 81 years old.
I feel sorry for her. Barb was her only friend(sister) there whom she did things with weekly, go to lunch etc. Now there is just Dad. My sisters come up once a month and do things with mom.
We will all be up in south bend to make the trip to lake michigan and then fathers day the next day.

I hope that my girl friend will want to come over for dinner to my house. I left a message on her voice mail.She knows that jeff is gone and I am not doing too well with him gone.
I hope she says yes. I have never had her over before. I am not going to
obsess about how messy my house is, cat hair every where!

I hate cat hair! I work so hard to keep this place clean, but there are still fur tumbleweeds all over the place! I wish I could just shave all 3 of them!
Most people understand it's hard to keep your home clean if you have pets, especially if they have pets themselves.

I feel so bad for everyone in Indy after hearing about all the snow, rain, and flooding. I wish them all well

I am a foot care nurse, I give pedicures to the elderly in their homes. I use toe nail polish for those who like it. about a year ago, I went into a sally's beauty store to find that they are discontinuing my little bottles. I panicked and bought up the on sale ones in multiple colors, hot pink, orange and various colors. I went to 4-5 stores around town and near cities. I must have bought 350 bottles. all on sale of course that was the rational/justification. When my little spending spree was done....I shook my head...not many 80-90 year olds want hot pink or orange nails.
I ended up taking 100 bottles of bright orange to the good will and asked if they wanted them. Of course they would.
Sigh I still have a box full of polish. sigh I let them pick out their colors, rarely does some one want hot pink.

This is clearly me hypomanic, I could not stop it from happening.

yesterday I bought 12 white soup bowls in two styles because I couldn't decide and I am 73. I don't even have room for them.

With hypo/mania there is this drive to do things, and sometimes we take things too far... REALLY hard to control or reign in, especially when we don't know we're having an episode

It was really nice of you to bring those bottles of polish to Good Will.

Until I put a stop to it a few days ago, Hubby was buying little Asian bowls and saucers sort of like this at an Asian place.
He has several sets and he only needs one bowl at a time when he eats.
His last was somewhat similar to this only it was was pink:

My friend said no she had to work late. I was disappointed.
The next day she called and left a message on my voicemail apologizing for not being able to make dinner.
We ended up doing lunch with another friend of ours.
But I really wanted to talk to her alone.
I think that will be the closest of a friendship ...a lunch friend.
I wanted to have her be my friend, more than just lunch pals.

But her not being able to make it to dinner once doesn't necessarily mean you can't build on your relationship. Maybe give it a little time and ask her to do something solo again, maybe during the day when she seems to be free?
