Bobby, you need to tell your pdoc that what she's giving you for your anxiety is not working. Some patients DO need to take benzo's to control their anxiety even if it's not the doc's preference to prescribe them.
I hope you have some luck with your case manager and can find another pdoc who is a better fit for you :hug::hug: |

it is working when I am not under stress. I don't think she will prescribe them. It is even on her website. she thinks they are bad for your health and firmly entrenched in that position.

Does anything work for your stress like deep breathing, or any other things like relaxation things. I can't think of the techniques. But I know that Derrick's behavior therapist is working on his anxiety and at times its honestly more stress than anxiety, and she is teaching him deep breathing, and some other stress relieving skills that can help these things. I would tell you some of them but I can never remember them. But I know that he practices them when he isn't in the situations, so that when he is that he can hopefully draw from them. Also maybe find some music you like that can relieve stress, I do know that this is one thing that has helped Derrick. He listens to music and plays some of his games. I will see what else I can remember. Donna :grouphug: |

Maybe when your Rabbi comes to visit he can help you better manage your anxiety using it. There are MANY pdocs who firmly believe that benzo's like Klonopin are bad for patients, and they refuse to prescribe them. Instead they try using other meds, like the antihistamines your pdoc is using, until they find something that works for a particular patient. I wish you weren't under so much stress, and your anxiety was managed better :hug::hug: (((HUGS))) & love to you today, Bobby |

How did it go? bizi |
she was really nice. i am confused and slightly depressed. she upped the lexapro to 20. she is going to give me neurontin. she asked how I felt about coming to her. I said I didn't know. she mentioned about staying on klonopin. she said I had to go out and be with people because it is depressing staying at home and just going to doctors appointments. I made another appt with her in two weeks.. I don't know if I should first meet the other woman psychiatrist and then decide or what. i think i am going to switch my annuity from stocks to money market. i think it is early but i want to remove sources of anxiety. I also got a great letter from my neurologist to be excused from jury duty when I am called for it
