march 27. pudge hasn't eaten yet

Neutontin/gabapentin is definitely worth a shot. It's off-label, but it really helps me, and a lot of other people Type I and Type II.
I like that your current pdoc thinks outside of the box, and knows how to use a lot of meds off-label, but it's worth at least seeing the new pdoc since you don't seem happy with your current one. I would not rely on a GP to prescribe your psych meds. They're not going to want to do it, and you're not going to get the care you need from a medical doctor.

I'm so glad that you got the letter from your neurologist to excuse you from jury duty if you are called. I know that is something you were very worried about. I don't know why they won't excuse you permanently in NY like they did for me in MA. My PCP wrote the letter, and said that they wouldn't want me in the jury box because of all the meds I take.

I completely understand trying to remove all sources of anxiety :hug::hug:
Is it possible for you to sit down and talk to someone about your annuity in person?

mymorgy 03-02-2019 10:24 AM

there is really no one to talk to. I follow the market daily but wonder if we are going to have a recession sooner than they think. Last time I liked the psychiatrist. She doesn't think I am bipolar II. I didn't think to ask her what she thought I was. She wasn't aware of all the shopping I did or how I traded the stockmarket like a maniac for instance. I love that she loves animals. PUDGE IS EATING RIGHT NOW!
I no longer have stomach aches and my appetite has returned. Yesterday I ate so much-even Chinese food. I started reading the Bible again.

OhKay 03-02-2019 11:11 AM

I would ask her why she doesn't think you are bipolar, and why. And what she thinks your differential diagnosis is, and why. I would explain to her why you think the bipolar diagnosis fits because maybe she hasn't asked you all the right questions yet :hug::hug:

I'm so glad you saw Pudge eat! :)
I'm sorry, but I forget what her medical problem is? Rocky has hyperthyroidism, and I have to watch his eating/drinking habits, and I have to give him a pill twice a day for life.

mymorgy 03-02-2019 03:55 PM

I will ask her. when pudge totally stopped eating all he could say was that she had a gassy stomach.then I brought her in for a full blood test and all was normal but he put her on prescription food. right now she came over to eat more. hurray. I might postpone the newer psychiatrist's appt for a few weeks to see how it goes. I think I maybe able to see her twice a month instead of every week. Pudge isn't eating. she is just sitting by the food dish. She walked away.

OhKay 03-03-2019 11:13 AM

I'm glad that the vet didn't find anything seriously wrong with Pudge :hug::hug:

When you leave food down for your cats all day, they tend to be grazers, and will eat a little here and there all day, so you may miss Pudge eating often.
If you really want to see how much your cats are eating, you can just feed them twice a day and remove the food a little while after each feeding. It may take the cats a little while to adapt to the routine, so that period of time may be stressful for you, but it could end up being a BIG stress reliever in the long run because you seem to be fixated on how much/often Pudge is eating.

I think your plan to see your current pdoc and hold off on seeing the other seems reasonable, especially if she agrees to see you only twice a month vs. every week

she ate some and came back and ate some more. she doesn't fill thin. she used to just gobble it up. I fell again today and just missed hitting my head. I fell about four days ago. My whole lower back is stiff.

Bobby

I think if he is feeling big and good size that he is fine. I know that my dog eats when he wants too. And Nipper eats when he needs to also. But when he is feeling lean on the little side, we give him a little more kinds of food he likes. And my dog specifically likes human food too. So I know he will eat just about anything. The kitties are on a diet of when they want to eat. Heehee, they are good at. one loves treats, and will eat other food when she wants. The other will eat all the time f I let him. So I just don't let him. Heehee, he gets a small amount of food in the food bowl so he doesn't gobble it down all the time.
