I'm so glad that you didn't seriously injure yourself, Bobby! It must have been really scary when you couldn't get up off the floor! (((HUGS)))
You can go back over your posts if you want, but it's clear to me from reading about your falls, I see a clear pattern... They happen after you overexert yourself/overdo it :hug::hug: I'm concerned that you may be having a hard time recognizing your own limits, and may not be listening hard enough to what your body is telling you. What did your body feel like WHILE you were walking those 3 blocks AND BACK? I know that you want to be more active, but I think that sometimes you are pushing yourself too hard, too fast. I think slow and steady is probably the best plan :hug::hug: I realize that is the pot calling the kettle black... |
I think you are right. I wanted to save six dollars. I went to the hairdresser.
I realized today my right leg hurts more. The antidepressant isn't working much.that is the first time. I sent in to switch my annuity from variable to fixed. we can drop letters in our building. I used the cane to go downstairs. I usually don't. I needed it today.. |
Bobby,
I'm glad that you are o.k. and that you know you have the option to use the stationary bike to get back up. M |
Bobby
I have had to start using things to get up the last year or so. So I really know what its like. But when I start to get where I'm getting dizzy and unbalanced then its not so much I've over worked my self there is something else going on usually. I've not exactly figured out what it is. But I just try to stay quiet and seated, and I take my cane with me as much as possible when that starts in my house too. Sometimes its a vertigo and I'm really working on watching my ears when that happens. Donna :grouphug: |
i am so sorry. i hope you don't fall. I wound up having so much trouble walking the other day. everything hurt. i wonder if the p.t. is really helping or that nerve damage can't be helped. Have you gone to the doctor about it?

And when an injury is permanent, PT is to build up the muscles surrounding the damaged area and/or the other side of the body to build up strength or work around the problem in other ways so people can walk or function better :hug::hug: I really fought using a cane, but I need one, and have been using one for about 10yrs now. I don't use it at home, but have had to in the past. I think you should try using the cane whenever you are out- even if it's for a sense of security. You get used to having one :hug::hug: |
whenever I leave the building I take my cane. I guess her making me use my muscles might hurt short term but help long time.

my lower back didn't hurt as much this morning. I was able to sit up with not much trouble. Marci rubbed my back with nutmeg oil
|
I'm glad that your back felt better yesterday. It was nice or Marci to rub that on your back.
How are you feeling today? |
