maybe you can expect nothing and then be pleasantly surprised if you get some response.

i haven't heard from him

OhKay 05-22-2018 05:38 AM

I'm glad you did this, too. He is your family, and you are missing that connection. There is a chance for you to have a closer bond with him, so it was worth trying :hug::hug:

I wouldn't worry if it takes some time before he responds, Bobby. I suspect he is a very busy man

i wonder if this works

OhKay 05-23-2018 07:59 AM

I'm interested in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine, but because the treatments aren't regulated by the FDA, there's no comprehensive list of side effects or med interactions, and I'm on sooooo many meds taking any of them makes me nervous.

bizi 05-23-2018 08:57 AM

I heard ashwaganda can help with focus and memory issues.
I am going to research that.

i binged yesterday on chicken nuggets and still feel sick. after the first few I wasn't enjoying them it was just a compulsion. I am also binging on buying. Suri recommended a book by a rabbi saying we should always feel happy even in the face of death. I bought.
she is going to china for qi dong. she sounded so good. she sounded so bad the llast time. I saw Alice for my birthday. It was great and again I ate too much.
I am seeing Stella tomorrow fo Indian buffet and Cecilia next week for dinner, and kathy sometime in the future.

Mari 05-26-2018 06:28 AM

Do you have the name of the book?
Happy be-lated birthday.
Qi-Dong sounds interesting.

does anybody know how to stop binging. i take topamax but that doesn't work.

mymorgy 05-27-2018 06:19 AM

I am also binging on money

bizi 05-27-2018 08:39 AM

my pdoc thinks that the naltrexone helps stop food binging. They now have an antidepressant coupled with nalrrexone for weight loss too,
can't remember what it is called.

mymorgy 05-27-2018 09:12 AM

thank you. I will ask my doctor when I see him next. I also also worried about my prediabetes
Naltrexone/bupropion (Contrave) combines an opioid receptor antagonist (naltrexone) with a dopamine and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (bupropion) in an extended-release tablet. It is labeled as an adjunct to increased physical activity and a reduced-calorie diet for chronic weight management in adults who have a body mass index (BMI) of at least 30 kg per m2 or who have a BMI of at least 27 kg per m2 with one or more weight-related comorbidities such as type 2 diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia, or hypertension.
I already take bupropion.

bizi 05-27-2018 10:13 AM

yes contrave!
I wonder if your insurance would cover it? Since it is new There is not a generic for yet. Some manufacturers offer discounted coupon cards for great savings. I don't know if there are any for this medication or not.Maybe???
I am wondering if I could take contrave because I am bipolar 1?
I can't take SSRI's the make me manic. Even traxodone made me manic.
bizi

OhKay 05-27-2018 11:13 AM

Bobby has Medicare and for some reason, Medicare patients can't use the discount coupons and free offers from drug manufactures.

Bizi, bupropion is half of the drug combination in Contrave, and is the generic name for Wellbutrin, which is an anti-depressant. So, I would say it's not safe for you to take it.

Bobby, don't you already take Wellbutrin? Maybe your pdoc could just add the Naltrexone because it would be A LOT cheaper than paying for an expensive new med...

bizi 05-27-2018 01:06 PM

yes exactly!

mymorgy 05-27-2018 02:29 PM

I take it but you left me confused. what is the other ingredient. why can't i take it since i have been taking it for years

bizi 05-27-2018 03:19 PM

naltrexone is the other ingredient. so maybe your pdoc would prescribe that for you too?
bizi

mymorgy 05-27-2018 03:40 PM

it is all confusing. now my blood pressure looks higher and i have been eating a lot of sweets so I don't know what my a1c is

bizi 05-27-2018 10:01 PM

I don't mean to confuse you bobby.

contrave is a mixture of buspar and naltrexone.
you take buspar already right?
you could ask your pdoc to prescribe the naltrexone also, it would be cheaper that way, and medicare may pay for it.
hope that is more clear for you.
bizi

mymorgy 05-27-2018 10:53 PM

it is still expensive

mymorgy 05-28-2018 04:04 AM

I just got on the scale and I only gained two pounds. I plan to eat a lot of broccoli and brussel sprouts and maybe mushrooms and sweet potatoes.

I had five cupcakes yesterday. Stella took me out for Indian buffet and brought me cupcakes. they were delicious, I had a very nice time with her and we didn't fight and just talked about food, She served me because I have trouble with balance and it was a buffet. this will be my last month of south beach diet.
I am bored with the food, I am bored with most food. I just like coffee. I have been up all night except for an hour.

OhKay 05-28-2018 06:26 AM

I'm glad you got out and had such a nice time with Stella! :)

I love broccoli, brussel sprouts, mushrooms, and sweet potatoes, so they sound really good to me right now! It's all healthy, and the sweet potatoes are a starch so the combo should feel filling.

I'm really bad, so I probably would have taken down a bunch of those cupcakes straight away, too. It was dangerous when I have/had the energy to bake because I would eat everything so fast!

I can't believe you were still eating the South Beach Diet food. No wonder you were bored!

I don't know about the excema but I would recommend SARNA for itching skin in general. It is non steroidal.

I'm sorry about your eczema, Bobby. I have a history with it, and it can be soooo uncomfortable. The hot weather makes it worse. Washing your face with baby shampoo may help, and Aveeno makes a good cream for it. Just keep it away from your eyes. I hope it clears up for you soon :hug::hug:

mymorgy 06-02-2018 09:14 AM

I bought some cortizone and aveeno . I look like a mess. I am in the weirdest mood-so mixed-thinking of death so much and people who have died. been talking a lot to suri who has breast cancer. she says I am helping.got into a fight i always fight with. i have known her since fifth grade. she always asks me about the two people I know suri and alice.I told to pick the phone and call.
I woudln't even know what to say about suri.

OhKay 06-03-2018 07:05 AM

It wasn't clear from your post who you were fighting with... I'm just guessing it was Stella again?

I'm so glad that you are staying in contact with Siri and continue to support her. You are a good friend, Bobby. I hope that she is doing okay :hug::hug:

I'm sorry that you are fixated on the loss of friends and family right now :hug::hug:

Are you still reading? Is it a good distraction?

mymorgy 06-03-2018 07:32 AM

It was Kathy. I am still reading. Now I have to force myself to start walking.
Yesterday I could hardly walk

mymorgy 06-03-2018 02:33 PM

walked only two times in the hall-only half of what I could do two weeks ago.
robert scared me i could wind up in a wheelchair

bizi 06-03-2018 02:55 PM

I am sorry robert scared you.

I am sorry it is hard right now.

Dmom3005 06-03-2018 07:49 PM

Bobby

Instead of thinking of it as Robert scaring you. THink of it as Robert motivating you to do more walking in the halls. He is getting you to work through
the not wanting to walk.
