Thank you, Bizi
But maybe you didn’t read my whole post?

Last evening I was doubled over in pain, and thought I may have had to go to the ER, but then the D came... constantly... until almost 11pm. Then it came again, and again, and again this morning and early afternoon.

We left late to do laundry when I felt I was in the clear because we absolutely had to, being 2 weeks since it’s been done. The clothes are in the dryer, and so far so good (knock on wood).

I can’t wait until tonight tho.

I don’t want to eat anything.

are you going to call the surgeon's office tomorrow to see if all this is normal? what a terror? can you be on more pain killers even though they are probably constipating?

Kay

I missed the end of your thread too. I really wish I could figure out
were it is. But I can't find it. ITs me I think.

I am sorry you were doubled over in pain.
Sounds awful.
Definitely call and report.
Hoping you got the laundry done.
And that corey is helping you instead of having an attitude.
((((HUGS))))

How is the pain level today?

I know why I was doubled over in pain on Saturday. I had an impaction, then tons of D. The pain went away after I went to the BR.

Thank God I made it through doing the laundry!!!
It's not just having the diarrhea while I'm out that worries me as much as the odor I guess. It's absolutely God awful!!! So, when we stopped at CVS on the way home to get TP, I bought some Poo-Pourri. I can't believe it, but it does cover up THAT odor. I can't do anything about the need for repeated BR trips, but at least I have that.

Yesterday I only had fluids (including juice and Gatorade) until I ate white rice at dinner. I had a little trouble in the evening, but it wasn't bad. So far this morning, I haven't had any D. I also haven't eaten anything, but I am thinking of having some toast.

Last night I got stoned for the first time since coming home from the hospital, and I slept through the night, which is something I've had a very hard time doing. I bought a new vaporizer, which I like and don't like.

I think I'm going to try to call the surgeon today. I don't know if I can get past her admin. and actually get her on the phone tho.
I have to go through my past posts before I see her for my post-op appointment so I can tell her exactly what's been going on.

I was able to get my surgeon on the phone yesterday. She said we have to find some "consistency," but thinks it's too early to start talking about prescription medications, and told me to take 2 fiber gummies in the morning, but said the FiberCon I have on hand is okay. I think she said I could also take 2 at night if I thought it wasn't enough. It's not going to be enough. When I asked, she said I could eat anything I want, but I could run into trouble if I had a big salad or other raw vegetables... more trouble than I'm already having?!
Fingers crossed that the FiberCon does SOMETHING to help.

This condition is obviously something that is going to have to be managed, and it will take a while to make any real progress :(

I did not have any D during the day yesterday, or this morning, but I had real trouble with it last night along with very painful cramping until about 11:30 :(

The protein shakes they gave me to drink prior to surgery bulked me up to about 145lbs. I never weighed myself when I got home from the hospital, but I should have. When I got on the scale this morning, I weighed 131.6.
My case manager from the insurance company wants me to drink Ensure, but I didn't mention my weight or run that by my surgeon because the phone call was rather rushed.

The insurance co. sent me a letter dated 5 days after I left the hospital saying they wanted me to see my PCP within a week of discharge. I'm still not driving, so have no way of getting there, and it's harder because they have temporarily moved further away from me. It is extremely doubtful that I would be able to get an appointment with my PCP, and would have to see the NP. I don't think she can do anything to help. I think an appointment there would be a waste of my time, but I guess I should make one for next week.

I decided I had to reschedule my pdoc appointment, and called her new office a couple of times, but could only get voicemail. I left a message, but I got a reminder call this morning. So, I called and had to leave another message. I may try to call back later to see if I can get someone on the phone.

I've decided that I'm going to drive 1/4 mile up the street to play the lottery on Thursday and see how that goes.

Kay

I don't blame you for wanting to drive the little bit to play the lottery.
But please only if the weather is nice okay.
