the doorman came up with a package and asked if he could look at the ac. He set to 68 and said he felt the difference between 72 and 68. He said leave at 68 and in a couple of hours your apartment will be fine. He was right. I still want the super to check it out because it is always running and I have the energy saver on which should turn it off intermittently but it hasn't.
I had great news. My friend Suri just had another test for her breast cancer that might in her lungs too and it came out fine! she has been in agony for three days worried about the results. |

That is great news for Suri. Also realize that with the heat the way it is. The air might not turn off right now. It might be because its so hot outside. So just wait till it gets cooler to worry about why its not turning off. Donna :grouphug: |
thanks. that makes sense

I am happy to hear of Suri's good news!

thank you. It wonderful isn't it. She was so scared. She had been given a negative prognosis when she got it three years ago.

I went thru breast cancer 6 years ago. I had frequent mammograms every 3 months for two years and then went down to every 6 months and then yearly. Was on an A-1 Inhibitor for 5 years to prevent recurrence. Stopped the drug last year. have had several biopsies since then, all negative, all due to post surgical issues - scar tissue presenting as a new tumor. Blood tests to determine cancer markers are not reliable, per my Oncologist. A PetScan is more reliable. Glad she is okay, you must be relieved too. Is Suri a family member? Hugs, Blue |

Interesting things about the Breast cancer. I didn't know what they do when you can't have Mammogram's anymore. I'm an hmmm, 3 or 4 time breast cancer survivor. Only meaning I had two or three lumpnectomies, only because the third they couldn't get a biopsy, so my surgeon took the sample and got the whole thing. But it returned 6 months later. So I then had a mastectomy, or was supposed to have double, but got a infection ended up having a mastectomy, then a second one almost 9 months later. Waiting that long, because I waited till Derrick went to his college he called it. I have been cancer free this time for almost 3 years. Donna :grouphug: |
I am so sorry you two had to go through that. I am so happy you are fine.
Suri, my closest friend who lives in Israel got a bad prognosis and there are some spots in her lungs. She feels that the cancer care in Israel is far superior to that in the states. She now is on an experimental drug that seems to be working. She is so scared. bobby |
