Have you tried a proton pump inhibitor such as Nexium to help with the stomach issues? Look it up and make sure it's compatible with all the other meds you are taking and ask your GI doc about this. This is an OTC drug. I take Nexium occasionally. Blue |
thanks. I will ask him about it. He will probably want me to have an endoscopy. It is not heartburn.

bobby, maybe it is time for an endoscopy to find out what is going on with your stomach.

I asked him last time for one and he said wait. I think the laxative is working but I will wait two more days to see and then make an appt to see him. I have spent so much time on the net looking for symptoms and relief from my stomach and gas. Also once I have gone to the bathroom I feel as if I still have to go but can't. So far it just seems like it is IBS

It could take a couple weeks to a month to get a complete relief of the problem. Especially since its been going on for so long. I would give it a couple weeks at least. Try doing the same thing for a couple weeks only adding things you do when it gets really bad. I had a bad issue once, and then I had a complete reverse not a clue why. I was using nexium when it happened. But I know that in the case of my husband he hasn't had the same luck. I eat bland foods, but not because of this stuff but because hot and spicy I really don't like. Donna :grouphug: |
wow that was great. I am not sure what to eat. I see on the net what not to eat. Yesterday I had hard boiled eggs. I plan to have them today. I ordered a lot of kiwi. My friend who has digestive issues says they really help.

The thing is every person is different. So you need to start on what sounds good. If its just ice cream then try that. If its say mashed potatoes, try that. I realize some of the things that sound good, have in the past caused problems. But because you are having good results with the laxative. Its possible in a small amount those things can be eaten. So give it a try. I would then try to eat small meals say, 6 times a day. No I don't mean food all six times. Like I seem to be on a kick of peanut butter and crackers right now. It settles my stomach, so I buy a container of 8 little packages for $1.oo, at dollar general and eat a package of 4. When my stomach says I need something to eat. It might be two hours after I ate breakfast. This morning my breakfast, was two little debbie chocolate donuts, because that was what I wanted. And then at 12, noon because I needed something, I just ate two crackers with peanut butter, because I had two left from late last night. So I will eat my lunch around 1pm probably. But it will be a weird lunch because I'm in the mood for cereal, so I'll probably eat that. Donna :grouphug::hug: |
thank you. I love peanut butter and mashed potatoes. Since my stomach is always bothering me I think I will take advantage to lose weight. I will also drink vegetable soup.

A study conducted by Taipei Medical University and published in "Asia Pacific Journal of Clinical Nutrition" in 2010 found that patients with irritable bowel syndrome with chronic constipation had increased and quicker bowel movements after eating two kiwis per day for four weeks than patients who took placebos.
I just ordered a lot of kiwis. I don't seem to have much gas now but the laxative still isn't working. I will call the doctor today if nothing happens. I read somewhere that probiotics can take two weeks to start working. I just bought some lactaid just in case. I just bought a big storage container for all my tunics. That might make things easier. I have been spending so much money and I think my ac bill will be 400 dollars. I am so stressed and scared but not depressed. I will try another cup of coffee. I am on gabapentin and didn't know it was a mood stabilizer. I have been so unstable. |
I went a little finally and just ordered some suppositories. I won't call the doctor.
