The thing is every person is different. So you need to start on what sounds good. If its just ice cream then try that. If its say mashed potatoes, try that. I realize some of the things that sound good, have in the past caused problems. But because you are having good results with the laxative. Its possible in a small amount those things can be eaten. So give it a try. I would then try to eat small meals say, 6 times a day. No I don't mean food all six times. Like I seem to be on a kick of peanut butter and crackers right now. It settles my stomach, so I buy a container of 8 little packages for $1.oo, at dollar general and eat a package of 4. When my stomach says I need something to eat. It might be two hours after I ate breakfast. This morning my breakfast, was two little debbie chocolate donuts, because that was what I wanted. And then at 12, noon because I needed something, I just ate two crackers with peanut butter, because I had two left from late last night. So I will eat my lunch around 1pm probably. But it will be a weird lunch because I'm in the mood for cereal, so I'll probably eat that. Donna ![]() ![]() |

A study conducted by Taipei Medical University and published in "Asia Pacific Journal of Clinical Nutrition" in 2010 found that patients with irritable bowel syndrome with chronic constipation had increased and quicker bowel movements after eating two kiwis per day for four weeks than patients who took placebos.
I just ordered a lot of kiwis. I don't seem to have much gas now but the laxative still isn't working. I will call the doctor today if nothing happens. I read somewhere that probiotics can take two weeks to start working. I just bought some lactaid just in case. I just bought a big storage container for all my tunics. That might make things easier. I have been spending so much money and I think my ac bill will be 400 dollars. I am so stressed and scared but not depressed. I will try another cup of coffee. I am on gabapentin and didn't know it was a mood stabilizer. I have been so unstable. |

Today was the first time the laxative worked a litttle .Fleet Glycerin Laxative Suppositories, Adult - 24 ea.
$3.60 from walmart. I went a few days ago when I ate a lot of prunes. Then I threw the rest out because I couldn't keep on doing that because of my diabetes and weight. Aplenzin is working really well. Again I don't know why he doubled the dose. Even with all the klonopin I am taking I feel so anxious and jumpy and out of control. I have been having a hard time reading. I thought I needed a mood stabilizer because I am so off the wall. Then another doctor wants me to take injections for my cholesterol. I can't take anymore side effects. I am rejecting it. I still don't know why my blood pressure went over 180. It is now controlled with the double increase of medicine. I told the doctor's office that I won't take the injections. I think this is the first time the laxative worked. The stools were formed that there very little. I can't stop buying. I bought Danny so many toys. He is an aggressive chewer. Now I just decided to see if there are leashes that he can't destroy. One day when he was over he bit through his leash and Robert had to improvise with the chewed through leash. I just bought one. I hope Robert likes it. Thank you so much Bobby |

Sometimes it takes a while for your system to go back to normal after you have been using large amounts of laxatives for a long time. Your symptoms may get better just from stopping the OTC laxatives
![]() ![]() ![]() Lactulose doesn't always produce a BM every day. When was the last time you went? Anywhere from 3 times a day to 3 times a week is considered "normal." I hope the kiwis help with your IBS symptoms. They sound promising ![]() Gabapentin is an anti-seizure medication that is used for neurological pain, but it can be used off-label as a mood stabilizer, but usually as an adjunct, not alone. It doesn't work for everyone. I used to take it in VERY high doses to treat my neuro pain from the MS, but it stopped working for that, so I stopped taking it. I take it in a MUCH lower dose as a mood stabilizer now, and it works well for me. It's the only med we can move up and down to treat milder episodes of hypo/mania because I'm maxed out on everything else. Why do you say you are unstable? I thought that the Aplenzin was working well? (((HUGS))) |
