Bobby

I hope things continue to stay good. I am glad you bought some depends.

My mom for about the last 5 years of her life wore them all the time. Because
with her problems with her hips and knees she wasn't always able to get
to the bathroom. And like you she hated the problems that came up.
So she was much happier when she could just change the depends.

I hope you find something you can eat too.

I would suggest eating some cheese but that

can contribute to constipation.
what about nuts not peanuts like brazil, pecans, almonds, avocados which you can easily cut them in half the seed pops out with a spoon then eat the flesh right out of the shell. delicious and so good for us. It has a lot of fiber.
ham slices, turkey slices.just some things that came to mind.
of course chicken salad, egg salad, tuna salad, all with mayo that doesn't have any carbs. sunflower seeds are great pumpkin seeds are great get the ones that are already shelled.
good luck bobby.

i am not at all like your mother was. when i was around sixty i had some accidents and bought depends. i never went to the doctor. i don't think i had an infection. after a couple of months it stopped-weird.
I bought them again because i let myself wet my bed a couple of times after this last fall. my leg was hurting so much and i was exhausted and i was afraid i might fall again. using the walker is such a pain. i am not sure when i am going to use them again. my leg is still hurting and i haven't been that exhausted. i might have wasted my money. your poor mother.

i just remembered for so many years i was such a fussy eater. i was very thin. the doctor tell my mother to feed me. i was content with warm bosco in a special pan and eye of the round with no fat and peanut butter, lamb chops and lobster. i guess it is really weird that now the thought of most food gets me nauseated. i do love nuts but they are hard to digest and fattening. finally i love cheese but that is constipating and fattening..Red MEAT CAN BE VERY BAD FOR YOU but the thought of that is now nauseating. i guess i will eat more chicken. i have been throwing that out. i was eating greens but i an't stand them now. i stopped with the ice cream because it is fattening. i don't like fish. i love pastry and cakes and i eat those.
last night and through the night my stomach hurt much as usual from my IBS-c. the magnesium citrate didn't work and so in the morning i drank another bottle and was terrified that the final laxative didn't work. two bottles of it finally worked. i immediately ordered fifty more bottles.
I think i am going to order egg drop soup and noodles with a little beef.
that is fattening to but i don't immediately feel nauseated.
my buying spree has stopped and i still haven't had any liquor,
i don't think now the news i constantly watch upsets me. i am so inspired by the Ukranians and their president and all the countries showing so much humanity. If the madman Putin blows up the earth so be it.

Bobby

I was just explaining even my mother had to have them sometimes.

And I've had them in the house in case I started getting diarrhea. That
is a totally different story from years ago. Because I hated to have to
buy underwear all the time. But it was because I couldn't get my system
under control. This is nothing to do with you. THis particular one I'm
only talking about something in the past about 15 years ago that happened
to me. I also had to have 3 colonospies to try and figure out why it was
happening. Went to 3 different doctors for the stomach. Have to say not
a one of those doctor's figured out anymore than that I had not the worse
thing. But the other one. Darn it I can't think of the name right now.

I will later and return to give you the name. Ugh I hate when my mind
wont give me the name of the thing.

Bobby
I honestly know very little about my grandparents, and Dale's grandparents were gone mostly before he was very old. But no mental health that we know of on those sides. My mom's side though my grandfather had lots of health issues
so its possible that they never knew. If I remember correctly he was a polio
survivor. Her mother before she died was a worker in the family, her dad
couldn't work. So she held multiple jobs, in arkansas.

My dad's dad died when he was 16, and his mother. Yes, I'd say she had mental
issues, but can't for sure. We don't know a lot.

My mom was very strong. And my dad, had nothing, he worked all the time.
But died right at the time he would have retired. He had cancer at 60 years old.

Then came the mental issues.

Dales side, yes the kids in my kids ages do have some issues. My niece, has
mental issues. My mother-in-law was always worried that her mother was
not getting the issues. And finally one day asked me if I thought maybe,
it might be heridetary, because she might have been depressed too.
And asked me to go over and explain Dan's issues. So I did. And her mother
told me thank you. She really appreciated me giving her the history I knew
for Dan and his troubles. Because she hadn't know that he had more than
a little bit of trouble.

So yes, its run in the family for a while.
